Pleasant overall, but not outstanding

Quiet neighbourhood, free Ilog Maria compli bath items, good zen atmosphere
7.7
Overall, stay was alright. I appreciated their zen concept. And neighborhood was quiet. If your goal to going to Tagaytay is to de-stress & relax, then this would be a good place. Front desk staff and manager are friendly enough. I loved the comfy king size bed & pillows. Towels smelled really nice, and I loved the compli shampoo and soap (by Ilog Maria). Rose petails on the bed & bathroom were a nice touch. I know other guests have complained that THouse’s bathrooms are small, but I find the size just right. Now for the things they need to improve on: (1) When I booked my stay, I requested for a room with a window. (Becoz I've read in a blog that some of their rooms have no window.) A hotel staff confirmed via email that they can accommodate. But upon check-in, I found my room did not have a window at all. I tried to change rooms, but they told me all TGarden rooms w/ windows were already occupied. This isn't a deal-breaker for me, but it would've been better if they just said from the start that they will "try and accommodate but will still depend on availability". (2) On one of the mornings when I was about to take a shower, I was surprised to find no water flowing from the sink's faucet nor the shower. I reported this to front desk and was told they are fixing it. Water came back on after about 5 minutes, but I just consider it a turn-off when a hotel/B&B has water supply problem. (3) There were a lot of items in their restaurant menu that aren't available. So why include it there in the first place, right? (4) My room had the noisiest aircon unit ever. Fortunately, I do not have a problem sleeping w/ a noisy aircon. I did read a blogger commenting on his/her room's loud aircon unit, so I guess we may have had the same room. Bottom line: would I come back to stay at T House? Probably not. I would like to try other B&B's in the area on my next Tagaytay stay.

Good, but a little bit overpriced for what we got

Good service, nice hotel concept and free wifi
7.3
Overall it was an okay stay, but I'd like to see other accommodation options in the area. Stayed in the Blissful Courtyard Room. Great service at the concierge. They even made reservations for us for dinner at a restaurant outside the hotel. The bathroom was a little small, and the trash can's stepping mechanism was broken. Water pressure so-so. The rose petals scattered all over is a nice romantic idea, but a bit of a hassle to remove once you actually need to use the shower. Bedroom itself is good enough sizewise, and comfortable even with a 3rd person staying in the room. Bed is comfortable. Paint in the room's wall was chipping off and needs repainting. Free mint tea and cookies served at night is a nice touch. You only get 2 pillows per double/queen/king size bed, as opposed to other hotels' usual 4 pillows. So if you need 4 pillows, you'd have to request for it. Wifi was free but somewhat slow. Had a 60-minute massage in the spa and the therapist's technique was excellent. The cons: dog barking nearby and people passing by as you have your massage were quite distracting from the relaxing atmosphere. The body towel was damp and face towel was smelly. My other friends complained that the spa area was too hot, and the electric fans were noisy. The free pandan tea after the massage is a nice gesture, although I'm not a fan of the taste. Breakfast was good, with a good selection, and presented nicely. For 4900 a night, it felt somewhat overpriced. If the rate were cheaper, then the shortcomings would be forgivable. Wish it was managed better.
