Quaint hotel just slightly off the beaten path

Room, decor, helpful staff, massage service
I enjoyed staying at the Tadkham Village Hotel. The room was simple but impeccably clean; the bed was large and comfortable, and the hotel as a whole felt much more posh than I expected for the amount of money I paid. The staff were friendly and, although some of them spoke limited English, tried to be as helpful as possible. I had a Thai-style massage and it was phenomenal, if a bit pricey for Chiang Mai.
Travel tip: Tell taxi drivers to go to Chiang Mai gate and then direct them from there - or drop you off, it's only a five minute walk from the gate. It's close to the night market if you're visiting on a Saturday.

Great stay at a great price

Clean, friendly staff. Good breakfast in the morning
A very clean and friendly place to stay. Internet worked great in the room. For Chiang Mai, the hotel was very quiet.

Lovely place to recommend

The style of the hotel was very nice and different. It had a nice terrace and great service
We stayed 3 nights at the Tadkham Village Hotel. We had a great time and loved the place. It is not in the main square of the city but it can be easily accessed by taxi or tuk tuk. It has free Internet, good breakfast and great staff. I would definitely go back!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Do the Mahout training course, the elephant ride is nothing compared to the mahout experience!

lovely. friendly and cosy hotel

comfortable and nicely decorated rooms in a quiet location
It was a very nice experience. The hotel is located outside the old city in a quiet location.Very nice hotel, with a garden/courtyard. The rooms are spacious and very nice and comfortable, decorated in asian style with refined touches. The staff is very friendly and will try and help you in any way they can. The spa is good, and it is nice to have a massage in the evening after a long day out and then you just go up to your room.

Tadkham Village Hotel

Great Thai look and service
After a long trip it was a treat to arrive at the doorstep-great introduction to Thailand. A bit of a walk to sites but still not a problem
Hotel Feature Tip: don't miss out on their wonderful massages!

Lovely place, great service, nice courtyard.

Breakfast in the courtyard, great service
Came for one day and stayed for three Rooms were immaculate, sun lit and comfortable. Free breakfast in the courtyard until ten, invoking cooked plate plus fruit, toast etcetera Hosts were super lovely and helpful, no complaints at all. Not the cheapest place in town but well worth the price.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: All men who grew up playing video games (or still do) need to head out to the gun club - everyone else just should. Big grins after target shooting with the in of your choice and the military who run the place are fun and friendly and will take some great photos for your facebook wall.

Genuine Thai atmoshere.
Very enjoyable stay, staff friendly & helpful, only short Tuk Tuk ride to all attractions.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Try tours elephant farm, bamboo rafting & hill tribes. One day tour to Changrai, golden triangle is excellent.

Beautiful hotel with lovely atmosphere

Lovely courtyard garen to sit in with tea or beer. Great breakfast. Close to Saturday walking street
Very nice hotel and clean comfortable rooms. Quiet location, friendly helpful staff - all good except for that dratted rooster (only 1 night out of 2 though)
Shopping Tip: very close to saturday walking street. Cultural show they recommended was a good choice - although not cheap lots of food (seemed to keep coming) and good show.
