Nice hotel outside city center

Friendly Staff, Nice breakfast, Clean rooms
Nice stay at a lovely boutique hotel outside the city center (10min. walk). Wish they would insulate the room windows in the bathrooms though (vs. just screens) as the noisy neighborhood dogs woke us up daily at 7am.

Very enjoyable stay

Staff - cleanliness - location
Super. Staff so eager to help in any way possible & their command of English is excellent, some of them English students at University trying to improve their English while waitressing etc.

clean, but dark rooms

central location, close to the old city
During our visit to Thailand, we visited 7 different hotels. Tadkham Village hotel disappointed us the most. The photos on the website are really misleading. You would think there is a window in the room, but there isn't. It's a window without glass. The "window" is kept closed by wooden shutters that are not supposed to be opened. This makes the room very dark and not cozy at all. We had breakfast "included", but had to pay extra for an extra egg. I never had to do so in another hotel. This is really unusual. At 6 am there is a cock in the neigborhood that awakes everyone. This is not the hotels fault, but it's quit annoying. Plus points for this hotel: very central location on walkdistance from the old city, a smalll but very lovely garden, and kind and helpful staff. Due to the lack of windows, I would not recommend this hotel.

Fantastic value for money in peaceful area

good location, friendly staff, comfortable room
This hotel is located just a short walk from Chiang Mai Gate in a quiet leafy street. The area is very peaceful and the staff are friendly and helpful in booking sightseeing activities. They have a lot of tourist information and recommendations. Breakfast is decent with lots of fresh fruit. The rooms are clean, spacious and have good bathrooms. Overall very good value for money and a central yet quiet place to stay. Great for travellers of all types.
