Poor service
Rarely performed housekeeping. Had to constantly ask for the room to be made up and have clean towels, even then it was 50/50. You pre order breakfast but it was usually wrong and cold. The pool was green!

Nice spot
Very helpful staff. Lovely old estate with great views over lake. Be prepared to eat out because no dinners served and pretty average breakfast. Think the price is very fair given the service and location.

Needs Improvement
It doesn't have much in terms of amenities, not even water or a thermos pot. Towels are the thinnest I've come across with. Ref is moldy, shower is just cold shower and the heads need to be replaced. Bed is worst, very very lumpy. It's a big room but there's not much place where you can put your stuff if you chose not to put your clothes in the almost dingy cabinets. Floor and bathroom tiles require some serious cleaning. You can see cigarette stubs of long ago in the balcony. Breakfast is so so. They use margarine and no brewed coffee, just the usual instant coffee. The hotel has lost its shine and it feels sad being in it.

Good location, Clean and cozy rooms
Location is near tourist spots in the area, breakfast is simple but decent, rooms are clean and cozy but need updating.

Exhilirating view and tranquilizing peace.
Location. Staff. Cleanliness.
We took a tricycle and followed the directions according to the map. It was nighttime and we got lost. We called the hotel for detailed directions and found out that we've missed the street a couple of times before finally getting it right the third time. The hotel, which was originally an ancestral family mansion, is located on a dead-end street so there was no traffic, area was quiet and safe. As soon as we entered the premise, we were greeted by the night shift staff warmly and apologized immediately for the inconvenience we went through earlier. Check-in was swift and hassle-free and we finally settled down inside our room for the night. There is free wifi available in each room but very weak signal. I was able to access the internet at the receiving area, dining hall and second floor but not inside our room. Staff tried to reset router but without any luck. The following morning, they served us with a nice breakfast. It was good breakfast and satisfying. The dining area is next to the veranda and, well, let me tell you about the view. AMAZING! The "house" is literally sitting by the top-part of the elevation and it gives you the amazing view overlooking Sampaloc lake and the majestic Mt. Banahaw. The weather during that time was perfect - sunny and warm - which gave us the option of either taking a dip at the pool (which needed to be updated in every way) or jogging/running around the lake with a distance of approx. 5K or 3+ miles. We chose the latter. Lots of "sari-sari' stores and small restaurants and eateries, there are also residential around the lake. Expect to share the narrow road with pet dogs and chickens and children playing. People are friendly and the place is what you expect to find in the typical Philippine province. We had a great time in San Pablo City and will definitely recommend this place!
