Efficient Small Hotel
Clean functional rooms and efficient service
Although a small hotel, everything works well here. The check-in process is fast. The staff are real friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean, well furnished and maintained. Breakfast is good. And the location is good, too, with less than 5 minutes walk to the nearest MRT station. Plenty of small but good eateries around the block, including a relatively short night market hawker street nearby.

Great location
convenient location, close to subway station
We stayed for three nights. It was a good stay in the beginning but from the second day the bathroom stink like a blocked drainage. Also, the room cleaning service didn't check if there's any spare toilet roll. On the third night we actually used up the toilet roll and could not find any. Of course you can call for sending one to the room, but we have never come across situation like this. Usually there's always a spare one available. The breakfast is nice, but the service staff is not trained. No one would attend you and lead you to the table until you ask for it. If you just stand at the entrance waiting for someone to attend you, you would just wait until the breakfast finished. Also, the breakfast finishes at 10am, but they don't refill food when it's a quarter to 10 so better to be early. Furthermore, there's no staff in charge of the spa and sauna room. Lady and gentleman are actually using the same room and area but at different time period. It is quite possible guests' privacy would be offended if someone accidentally enter the room at the wrong time period as there's no staff at all there to guide the guests. The gym equipments are old and half of them are not working properly. Otherwise, the location is great and convenient as it's very close to Da-an subway station.

Clean and basic, good location.
Not if you want anything more than the basic accommodations
The room was clean and basic, a bit on the small side, with a tube TV (still?) and free bottled water. Good location if you're interested in the eastern part of Taipei. It is next to the subway, and is pretty close to Taipei 101, but farther away from the CKS Memorial, etc. The staff was very helpful with taxi directions and spoke good English. The gym was a joke. Don't bother.

boutique hotel
pleasing front desk staff and concierge,
Nice hotel. Friendly staff (including front desk staff, concierge and housekeepers). We ordered 2 superior rooms. Same price with executive room at Agoda. . But in reality, superior room is much smaller. Since there are only two superior rooms on each floor and they are not close to each other, we have no choice but to pay NT$4xx for upgrading one room to deluxe room. David, the Concierge, is very helpful. He told us the locations of nearby restaurants and MTR stations. Very convenient location: 2 mins walk to 大安Daan MTR station. 2 mins walk to 永和豆漿. 3 blocks from 太平洋Sogo. Offer free western, japanese and chinese style breakfast from 6 to 10am.

Very good location for connecting to the airport.
Fantastic suite for a very reasonable price. Small hotel not like the large 'monsters' where individuals are forgotten.
This small hotel (in relative terms) is located a few meters from the Guangzhou subway network that connects directly to the airport - no changes required. Reception were friendly English speakers with an efficiency that leaves larger hotels red-faced. Extremely good rooms with good sized baths too. If you want to avoid the large hotel chains but are not 100% about a boutique, this is the a good option.
