Ok place by the lake.

View, Wifi, Pool.

Overall a pleasant stay but one or two minor points niggled. We stayed 2 nights. We ordered dinner on the first night and went to dining room at the right time. The meals were served cold. Breakfast tea/coffee was served with creamer powder. I didn't expect fresh milk but at least UHT carton milk or condensed milk.Toast was warmed bread not properly toasted.Shower is cold water only. Curtains don't keep out the light. Boat trip to the lake was in a boat with no shelter from the sun or waves. We were cooked and soaked both ways. Boat man shouted at us to give 2 kids 50 pesos to walk 2 steps up a bit of wood to get on the boat. I would expect getting on and off the island to be Included. We were humiliated. A group of 4 ahead of us went on a proper covered boat.

Very simple hotel with a view

Friendly owner. The view. Proximity to Taal volcano.

The simplicity of the hotel is offset by the friendliness of the owner, Emma, and her staff. The villa, which we occupied, was very spacious but cleanliness was not of top priority. The shampoo sachets and used soap left by its previous occupants were not taken away and there seemed to be no staff assigned to clean the villa on a daily basis. There was no hot shower although the villa is the most expensive accomodation in the resort. Don't expect to get any meals in the restaurant if you did not give notice in advance since there is no on site cook. Breakfast was not included in the booking. You had to order breakfast a la carte. The resort did arrange for package tours to the crater which included lunch back at the resort. Not many eating places in the nearby vicinity. The better restaurant was located at another resort called Balai Isabela which was a 10 minute drive from Talisay Green Lake. If you are only looking for a place to sleep and not very picky about details, this is the place to stay.

Big Differences.

Location to Taal Lake. Restaurant on site. Staff.
6.3
Some rooms are in poor condition, are very small, do not have TV, do not have air conditioning, and do not have hot water. Other rooms are very comfortable so check the room and ask for what you want. Internet is only available if you sit in the garage. After you take a boat ride over to see the volcano there isn't much else to do. The pool is not very inviting and there is no place to sit and relax around the pool. The food is acceptable at the restaurant on site. Otherwise, there is one restaurant in town 2 km away.

Poor lodging facilities

price, close to talisay town, accessible from the main road
2.7
The rooms and facilities of the resort is already old and cramped. It is not world class, but good for budget local tourists.
David C. Groups Australia, May 7, 2014
Nice pool, pity about the meals

Good location for visiting Taal Volcano, right on crater lake shore. Own boat to visit Taal Volcano. Nice pool.
5.7
This small resort right on the lake shore at Talisay has own boats to access the island. Boats same price as others but small size of the Resort reduced chances of sharing the boat hire cost. Grounds were well maintained. Rooms were not new or large but were adequate and clean. Staff were friendly. The only let down was the quality of the meals. First meals were so bad we caught a tricycle into Talisay for lunch on the second day. Subsequent meals were (a little) better.
Darren N. Couples United Kingdom, February 13, 2014
Great location close to the Taal volcano.

They will provide a boat to take you across the lake to the volcano

Overall stay was good. Not excellent but good.

First, staff were very accommodating. Second, its quiet. Thid, nice place for children to play.

Overall stay good. Not recommended if you dont have personal transportation. Public transport is over priced. Friendly staff but bathroom have lots of cockroaches!

nice hotel

good location
7.3
very good for relaxing.fresh air, quiet enviroment, just lying down on the chairs, fall a sleep very quickly. the fish is fresh and quite a few cooking ways. tyr them one by one. you can find toads, lizards and big snails in the garden. a loveyly zoo.
Hotel Feature Tip: book the room with airconditioner rather than fans. you can share the boat with other people no more than 6 persons, for each boat, it cost 1500p regardless of how many heads. bring a mask because it is dusty when you ride a horse. and it is pricy if you buy at the tourist's centre
Ben L. Couples Netherlands, March 26, 2012
Not really a resort, but helpful staff

None
4.3
The room was very basic, not so clean, and small, with a cold water shower only. Also the resort has very limited facilities, e.g. there is a swimming pool but no chairs, beds or similar to relax. You can view the lake and vulcano island, but no chairs or tables at lake site. You can have breakfast and dinner, but you need to order it in advance (before 5pm), the nearest restaurants and shops are in Talisay (about 2 km from the resort). When we arrived at the resort at 6pm, everything was closed and we could not get any meals. We had several problems with the room, tour, food and facilities. The staff really tried to solve the problems, and were very helpful, but could only solve things partly; some things are simply not there or not possible.
