The best accommodation we had in all Vietnam

spacious rooms, location, inclusion into daily life
This was the best place to stay in Vietnam in our opinion. We were included in the goings of of the orphanage next door (as much or as little as we wanted), where we helped the children with spoken English and were invited to have lunch with them. We were given a private tour of the village and the market and had many cultural things explained to us. We were made to feel very special and we will visit again with open hearts, equal to the open hearts that greeted us on our stay. Most outstanding.

Peace and paradise with HEART!

Jean and Phuong as hosts, size and beauty of room, ethical benefits
Best. Experience. Ever. NOT staying here is a huge mistake. Hué itself is fine, but since you're really only there to see the citadel etc., make it a beautiful retreat and catch up on your reading in the lush garden. Our stay was what dreams are made of! Jean and Phuong were incredible. Phuong gave us a little walking tour of her village, and Jean was a charming and attentive (yet hands-off enough too) host. The room (read:house) is palatial and clean as can be. We were almost embarrassed by how big our place was, but we also felt amazing that our money was supporting the orphans next door. We met and ate dinner with them, then we all played together and sang songs. They are curious and happy and love meeting new adults. It was something I will remember all my life. Also breakfast was amazing and you MUST ask Jean for the dinner- $10 has never given us such a homey yet elegant experience- enough food for an army and delicious and special. Ask Mr Bean to pick some bananas for you, as you're far away from snacks. Or bring some munchies along. Also ask Phuog where to get the yummy fish soup down the lane- so good we each had two bowls in one sitting! I've said nothing negative because there isn't anything! Stop reading and just book!

We wished we could have stayed longer

The beautiful, calm environment: Tam Tinh Vien means Garden with a Peaceful Heart. The wonderful hosts, Jean and Thuy. The support they give to the orphanage
This place was like a little bit of heaven, with its beautiful environment, its thoughtful and kind hosts, and the wonderful kids from the orphanage next door that your guest house fees support. Ask Jean about having supper with these great kids, and how to get to the village market. I rate it a 10

Quiet and peaceful

Peaceful, quiet
I booked for someone else. Feedback I received from them is the room is big although old. Better to book for the beginning of your trip. For the last night before flying out of Hue, better to book somewhere downtown as it will be faster to get to the airport if you don't have a lot of time or your flight time is early in the morning.

Secluded bungalows with a lovely garden

Very quiet nice bike ride to local Pagoda
We arrived by boat from town enjoyed a local bike ride. Then ate dinner there which was nice. No TV so would have been hard with children for more than a night. Too far to be going back and forth to town.

great room, but out of the way location

great room, garden and bathroom
my wife and niece stayed here, but left a day early. as they were not comfortable staying there as one of the male staff made them both feel very uncomfortable. when my wife complained about him, the sister of the owner seem not to care. so she felt it was better to leave early

Excellent, beautiful place, great staff.

Beautiful room, garden and excellent food.
The place is absolutely beautiful. The garden was amazing and the room was huge and traditionally decorated. Felt luxirious. Great food. It's worth staying there for dinner. breakfast was amazing. The staff was very kind, helpful and accomodationg. The great thing about this place is that they have an orphanage next to the place to which travellers' money go. I spend a bit of time with the orphans who were lovely. I could also visit the orphanage. It's a beautiful initiative.
