Best experience in Chiang Mai

The staff, the setting, breakfast
It was really wonderful. If I go back to ChiangMai it would be because of the hotel. Staff were helpful and friendly, the hotel itself was beautiful and perfectly located.

Nice Experience in Chiangmai

Location, Staff and Atmosphere
The hotel is very comfortable with nice staff and excellent location. The staff is very helpful which they are attentive to residents' needs. I was surprised that the location of the hotel is very convenient which the Sunday Market is just located outside the hotel. Nevertheless, the hotel is not noisy at all. After you enter the hotel, you enter a comfortable and relaxing space again. I highly recommend this hotel.

Dinner - food authentic Guest comfort - arranged everything we needed with ease Facility - Pool and surrounds comfortable
This accommodation was lovely, its showing age though. Very busy tourist route, but they didn't skip a beat. Made all guests feel special, including my husband who was celebrating a birthday there. we enjoyed our time there, would probably try somewhere a little more quiet next time. Less commercialised. But I would recommend, perfect location to the Old part of town.

Lovely Hotel in the Old City

Location, Staff, Food
If you need a hotel that is close to everything, you have to choose Tamarind. Its appeal is not only the location but once inside the hotel the atmosphere is quiet and peaceful. Lovely staff all round. They even gave us a free upgrade to a bigger room!! Sunday night market is just outside the main entrance. Best to return to the hotel before 4pm if you drive.

Location is just perfect, rooms nice and excellent

Location, nearby food
The hotel ground are spectacular for the surrounding environment. So peaceful, wonderful staff with many adventures at your fingertips with the desk staff. Breakfast food was just “ok”, nothing great, fresh food. The service was excellent and very attentive to everything from email service, poolside and concierge request. So many sights within walking distance and great street food and nearby restaurants. Would recommend and this hotel is on our list for a return visit.

Fantastic hotel in great location

Staff, Spa, Price
We had a lovely stay at the Tamarind Village. The staff were especially helpful and they provided a great tour of the nearby temples and palaces. The standard of English was very good and the pool nice and big. The breakfast was excellent and the location is fantastic - right in the centre of town and very easy to get around to see everything. The Spa was lovely too - we all had massages and facials. For the price, the hotel was spot on.

a tad disappointed

food including comprehensive breakfast and restaurant menu and afternoon tea, pool, location
I had visited Tamarind Village previously and dined at the restaurant and enjoyed it so much that I chose this as the venue for my friends and family to stay for my next birthday. I was disappointed to be put in a room which required a GPS to navigate myself out from even though my stay was for 5 nights. I can understand if a guest is only staying 1 night to be put in a less desirable room, but having made the booking 3 months in advance and informed them that it was for a special occasion, I was annoyed that I had to complain and wait several nights to be moved. On leaving I left my reading glasses and designer sunglasses in my room. On emailing the hotel when I discovered the loss, it took several days for an automated reply and by the time I received a specific reply from the hotel ( 5 days after the event) it was to inform me they had not been handed in. It is a lovely hotel in appearance, the rooms need more power points though. The reception staff were very helpful when they realised that my initial room allocation and others in my group was poor.

Pleasant stay

Courteous staff, confident location, staff very respectful
Enjoyable stay, delightful welcome, staff went out of their way to assist Surprised airport pick up was an unexpected extra cost. Although a lovely welcome much cheaper by taxi.
