We stayed here for four nights at the beginning of our trip and we loved every minute of our visit. The staff are lovely, very well trained and professional, but friendly at the same time. The food was amazing, we ate breakfast, some lunches and two dinners at Ruen Tamarind and every dish was delicious. We loved the emphasis on Northern Thai culture and cuisine. We enjoyed the complimentary activities such as the Village walk and lotus flower folding. The hotel is very well located, especially if you intend to visit the Sunday night market. That market is HUGE! Our walking tour guide recommended eating from stalls set up in the grounds of the Wats and that was a good tip. We stayed in a Lanna deluxe room and we're glad we paid more for the added bonus of a balcony to relax on. Our room was very nice but it was a bit hard to get around suitcases to access wardrobes etc. our room was a bit shorter than other deluxe rooms, but we had a larger balcony, so it all evened out! Our only problem was that it was really hard to dry your bathers after a swim as there was no clothes airer, line or sunshine. We would definitely stay at Tamarind Village again in the future. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so pleasant.

people, product, price exceeded expectation!

three things I like most: convenient location, low density, poolside bfast

I traveled with my husband for a relaxing time in Chiang Mai, it was the low season, the hotel offered stay 3 nights with 2 night price. I chose the right hotel! Their attentive staff provided just the right service, no matter in lobby or at restaurant. excellent food for breakfast, although there wasn't a wide range of selection, food and drink were decent. I also like the decoration everywhere in the hotel- plain, raw and lovely. The swimming pool is small but it's good enough to cater the low usage, the swimming time was enjoyable (maybe cos it's low season). The only thing to pay attention is that they provide the basic toiletrie (shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, body location) only, you have to bring razor and toothbrush by yourself. Or you can easily buy these from 7-Eleven around. I'll definitely choose Tamarind for my next Chiang Mai trip!
