English style house, amazing view, average room.

View, location, food
Staff tried v hard and were polite and attentive, it's a good location, it's an old English style house so don't expect a new hotel. The view is the best the the town, we walked around and checked out about 8 hotels and this was clearly the best. Above the restaurant it has a rooftop viewing platform which was great for the sunset. They grow their own vegetables and we had a great carrot curry which was from the garden. I'm not one of those travelers that expects a super clean flawless place but some minor points.. The doona cover insert hole was underneath where your body is and most of the buttons were broken so when I woke up I was swimming around in the doona. Also the sheets didn't really fit the bed so we were coming into contact with the mattress, clumsy stuff from them really. For the price we probably agreed with the 7.3 rating online.

Rooms ok, common areas very shabby, bad wifi,,

Good breakfast in dining room with incredible views, bathrooms had been renovated
Incredibly shabby common areas, not enough blankets for cold nights, very bad wifi reception in room. Room was okay especially renovated bathrooms. Very overpriced for quality of hotel. Location was an easy walk to Victoria Park and the central city.

Good points outweight some low points

View, location, service
Tea Bush is located right at the hilltop. Nice view and we watched stars at the roof top one of the nights. It is away from the city so you need to walk up or take a tuktuk which cost 150 lkr one way from city center. The property is peaceful and serene. We stayed at the super dexlue room for 2 nights. This is located just outside the main building. Difference between super dexlue and dexlue is outside or inside the main building as well at super has newer furniture. The dexlue is bigger in size though and has a more England feel. Depends on your preference. Heater at the showers was only able to sustain the 1st person's quick bath. Cold water comes in after about 10mins. The staff tried to fix it for our first night but it didnt fixed it. Staff was helpful overall. They packed breakfast for us at 5am for our hike to Horton's Plains.

Lovely mountain retreat

Amazing staff, great food, wonderful views
My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the tea bush! The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help, including making telephone enquires for excursions not organised through the hotel and also popping to the shop to buy some wine to go with our dinner! The food was really good and there is something on the menu for everyone. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the views overlooking nuwara eliya were amazing!! The rooms were fairly basic but very clean and comfortable and as the temperature does drop in the evenings a heater was also provided. Although this hotel may look a little rough around the edges, (and we did have a tiny issue with a hot/cold shower) its a gem and would highly recommend staying here!

Remote location with not exactly clean room

Attentive staff, wifi, good view
Booked a super deluxe room. There wasn't anything super nor deluxe about it. Garbage from other guests in the nightstand, completely stained carpet, would not dare to use the closet. The hotel claims to be in the city center, however it is very remote (not walking distance. especially not at night)

Comfortable stay.

Comfortable room, good views, helpful staff.
The room was comfortable but quite small with a good shower room and plenty of hot water. The Dining room has excellent views across the town. Breakfast was good as was dinner but dinner took a long time to arrive. The views are excellent from the garden and even better from the roof top lawn! The road to the station is awful due to major road repairs but it will be very good when it is finished.

Comfortable stay with great views

Garden area, old heritage building, surroundings
When we reached they offered us other room instead of delux room. Thedelux room was out side of the main building and comparatively small insize. So we decide to stay in building with our other travelers. We did't get any room view however the weather outside and cloud and mist. Was enough to enjoy. We were spellbound with the scenic beauty of the position. We would love to visit again.
