About Ten Hill Place

Located in a quiet Georgian Square in the city center, Ten Hill Place is within walking distance of all the main tourist attractions including The Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, and Princes Street. The hotel features a restaurant offering an a la carte menu available each evening and a wine bar serving lighter snacks and an exclusive selection of wines supplied by Corney & Barrow, spirits, and locally produced beers. The guestrooms are a palette of calming colors and textures. Personal safes, irons, ironing boards, hairdryers, and a hospitality tray are provided in every room. The beds are with allergy-free duvets and pillows to compliment a great night’s sleep. Wi-Fi is available throughout the entire hotel. Opened in November 2006, Ten Hill Place is owned by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. It was created from the combination of an existing Georgian building, previously the Postgraduate Residence of the College, with a stylish yet sympathetic new development. All of the hotel’s profits are invested back into the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh to provide education and assessment for medical students, surgical trainees, and consultants who in turn bring life-saving and life-changing skills to all corners of the globe. The hotel’s credentials include the gold award in Green Business Tourism, Eco Hotel of the Year in 2010, and Green Hotel of the Year 2012. Ten Hill Place prides itself in living up to these standards at all times.

Great place to stay on the old town
Fabulous location (esp. true for halaI travelers), within walking distance to edinburgh castle. The staff were adequately helpful, the room was excwllent. We stayed in May 2016 when the weather were supposed to be warm. well, it wasn't. To my surprise there were no heating radiator available at all, thus we spent the night burried inside thick blankets. I cant imagine if you need to stay during winter.

Lovely hotel within a lively area
This hotel was exceptional and located in an area of the City close to a variety of tourist areas and shops. The rooms were very cozy with very comfortable beds. The breakfasts were superb.....another reason to go on a diet!!

Good location for reasonable rate.
Room rate was without breakfast. In my opinion a bit to expensive for the average room. BuT so far clean and friendly stuff

Great sleep, fantastic breakfast
We were upgraded to a superior room, which was bigger with a seating area although it was at the rear of the property so no veiw! However the room was good, the bed we found very comfy and we had no noise from the busy city! After an excellent sleep we went to breakfast (served till 12 at weekends!) it was honestly the best breakfast I have ever had in a hotel, all locally produced fresh products cooked well. A great little hotel in a handy spot in the city.
