Thai Village Resort, Krabi - Family Holidays

1. Room was big & comfortable. 2. Swimming pool was clean & nice with a nice sunken bar. 3. Air cond, hot/cold water, divans, bed & pillows all nice. 4. Staff are mostly friendly.
It was a good, comfortable stay. Some challenges we faced were staff lack English speaking ability but friendly and willing. The WiFi only in lobby & WiFi in room is payable. The restaurant staff not friendly & inviting. The lobby & overall hotel seems to lack security. Poor breakfast buffet spread. Poor lighting in the nights at hotel internal areas especially near the pool which we have to pass to get to most rooms. Bath tub stained & looked in-clean & hotel staff didn't help to clean stains (permanent stains?). The in-house piped in TV channels lack variety. The towels in the room smelled & when we changed to new towels it also smelled (damp smell). You have to pay for a bucket of ice to your room. Many ants, some with painful bites! No private beach, you walk 15 - 20 mins to Aonang beach. Tuk Tuk readily available in front of hotel at 90bht one way per person. Anyway these are just some disadvantages of the hotel, overall still a nice place if you take it easy and be nice to the staff and people around you.

Room is bigger than normal, good location.

1. Location is good , close to the restaurant. 2. Room is quite bigger than normal/standard. 3. Air condition in room works well.
We got the room type as expected and location of resort is quite good, close to the restaurant but resort does not provide free wifi in room.

Very good.

Lovely surroundings, very quiet, nice rooms and pool.
My stay here was very good. Very helpful staff in a picturesque hotel. The 2 drawbacks however, were that, my room was an extremely long way from reception, right at the back of the village, all up hill. Could have used a motorbike taxi to get up there. Although this did give me peace and quiet, you were sweating and puffing and panting by the time you got there. Also, only 1 power outlet worked in the room.

impressive stay

clean , friendly staff, good food
This hotel is really big and they have very big swimming pools with a pool bar. The friendly staff is what impressed us. The room is quite nice , spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is great with various selection.

Nice older style hotel

Breakfast, room, location
This is a nice older hotel in Thai architecture style. Everything was a little dated, from the furnishings, the door key, the safety box, and the lack of elevator. The very expensive in-room WIFI was a big inconvenience, and we opted to not have it there, but go down to the lobby (like most of the other guests) to check our emails. The staff was friendly, but needed more training.

Nice stay will go Back!!!

cleanliness, staff, food
I don’t get why a lot of people complained about the Hotel’s location. If you are to go to a nice hotel for a honeymoon you would have to expect a long trip. You would want to get out there to wherever you’d get more privacy, so it is foolish to whine about the Resort’s location when you are looking for some time to relax. I liked the open-air breakfast. I thought the rooms where designed wonderfully and true to Thai designing, fun bar you have there though. Lovely staff, good spa, and just delightful all over. I love this place and will definitely go back there!!!!

Just what we wanted

It was very quiet. Friendly staff and guests. Lovely room, authentic feel.
The staff helped us whenever they could and always greeted us with a smile. The foyer was beautiful and very welcoming on arrival. The lady helping to arrange tours and days out was great. The breakfast was buffet style, which was fine- I kept it simple. Live music in the bar was nice to enjoy whilst using the free wifi available there. It was very peaceful.. Lots of greenery and flowers around. The spa was v nice too, I had a lovely massage and the lady was very helpful in giving me tips and recommendations. I like that the rooms feel quite separate and not in a tower block. The walk up three flights (top floor) as some have mentioned is nothing! No need for a lift! For those with difficulties walking the staff were very accommodating. Request early where you'd prefer but I recommend 1st/2nd as they feel more private. My boyfriend and I requested top floor and because we were joining my parents for the holiday, I also asked that we be next to them- all no problem! I was pleasantly surprised by the standard of the hotel considering we got such a gd deal. We went in July 2014 for ten days and the first two days rained but the rest was gorgeous sunshine mostly. Not busy too-low season is super peaceful! And everything in town is cheaper ;-) it's not a crazy party place. There are many bars to enjoy live music though. I really enjoyed my stay in Krabi :-)
