Pleasure Trip
Location, Staff, Cleanliness
The online booking is made but room no. Not allotted so differentiation with other room are not noticed. I booked the Delux room but AC is not performing as per the room type even kept on for long time as advised by hotel staff in Room no. 313. Hence even with fan on not comfortable in night. The TV location is such on the wall that it falls on way to toilet and bathroom approach so if you are not carefully it always hit your head.

pass it, look elsewhere
This was the last leg of my trip to central vietnam and it spoils it. The staff was indifferent, there was no tea or coffee, no kettle; I asked for hot water twice and it never came. We chose the hotel for its location, a walk nearby shows many other similar ones at competative prices.

It is ok.
They gave us the room behind the reception counter so it was quite noisy at night because many ladies talked loudly. Breakfast has not many options to choose.

Cheap and cheerful with central location
Location, value for money, customer service
We have stayed at Thanh Binh II on 3 separate occasions when we have come to Hoi An for shopping. It is located in the Ancient town and an easy 10 minute walk to the river and all the lovely restaurants and shops. There are lots of tailors next to the hotel, a great coffee shop (highlands) around the corner and bike hire out the front We usually pay between $17 and $22 USD for a 2-3 bed room which includes a buffet breakfast per person at the hotel next door. The hotel is a bit old and run down and could be a bit cleaner at times. You have to be early to breakfast otherwise the food choices are limited. But these are my only complaints and would not deter me from staying there again Overall is it very good value for money in a very touristy area.

Hotel to avoid
It started as a distaster when the reception lady upgraded us to a better room than we had booked. She did this on her own initiative, we did not ask for it. We settled into our room and then departed for a look around. When we returned we found the manager had moved us to another room which was of the type we had booked. They moved our bags except one bag that contained our valuables which was left in the unlocked room which anyone could have stolen. The manager advised we could not have that room as we had not paid the extra money; fair enough. So in typical Vietnamese style it was our fault because we had not paid for the better room when we booked. Apparently it was not the fault of the receptionist who put us into it. Some comments on the hotel. While being clean it is in need of refreshing or refurbishment. It is tired and worn out. No refreshemnts in the fridge, no credit card facilities, argumentative management, to get breakfast you have to walk to another hotel to get served. It seems popular with the Vietnamese who probably get a cheap price because they don't mind the degraded condition of the hotel. With Vietnamese guests you get a lot of unwelcome noise particularly in the evening and early morning. It is a hotel not suited for foreigners. Avoid if possible, there are better options in Hoi

Hotel not up to standard
handy location; good breakfast; some adequate rooms
Hoi An has many good hotels, but Thanh Binh 11 is not one of them. Many facilities are well below standard, but poor staff performance was the biggest problem. We had booked 2 superior rooms but were given 2 (sub)standard rooms that were dirty and smoky, had no city view, and one of which had a broken TV. When we complained, the staff admitted their mistake but asked us to stay in the poor rooms for the first night even though superior rooms were available. We got 1 room without further hassle the next morning, but had quite a fight to get the second one. We eventually got what we paid for and the rest of our stay was OK.

not bad
good buffet breakfast, good location
We stayed here for 3 nights, didn't like our room. It was on the ground floor, and on the check in we found cockroach. The hotel is old and it’s not very dirty, but not so clean also. They cleaned our room only first day. Bathroom was clean. There was a window but there was also a wall half meter away. Staff were nice, speak English good, helpful. Hotel is situated 2 minutes walk to Hoi An Ancient town and all other sights. Good buffet breakfast, but in the hotel across the street. We are not sure that we would stay here again, or maybe we would just chose the other room.

nice hotel in good location, friendly staff
location, price, friendly staff
There was one problem with our stay, we were two solo travelers, there was horrible noise from some roof machinery in night. My friend complained and they promptly switched him to different room. that noise could be heard in my room too, but it was not that bad, it did not bother me that much, but people with light sleep might have problem with that. A little bit surprising was that breakfast was in different hotel around the corner. Otherwise everything was perfect.
