Excellent hotel with everything you need

25m pool, good customer service, big sized rooms
They advertised themselves as a budget hotel allowing both monthly rental as well as daily rental. I booked this hotel just for the 25m half - Olympic sized pool, this is the only hotel I can find in bangkok with a pool for doing lap swimming. the pool is 1.5m deep. Due to the relatively low price which I paid for this hotel, I had expected the hotel to be in a bad condition. However, this hotel totally exceeded my expectation. We had a huge room, despite placing an additional bed in the room on top of the existing king-sized bed, there was ample space around. The staff were very helpful, render us all the necessary assistance we required for this trip. Good breakfast, with a selection of both American style and local. We did not have to pay to use the pool and it comes with a slide for the kid. We paid for additional wifi devices though, it is cheaper to opt for the weekly plan. There were eateries and convenience stores and one can also do some shopping around the hotel. You can also buy stuffs (cup noodles, snacks and basic amenities) at the hotel lobby. Free shuttle service is provided to bts, just gotta book in advance. There is also a fitness center and a drum room. Huge car park in which you can park your car. You can experience the way locals live their lives in bangkok. The hotel is located near a wet market, very interesting sight. Overall, i must say that this stay was a pretty good one and it is value for money. I would rate it 7.8/10. :)

nicely situated if you like local food stalls

situation, swimming pool. close to bts
I have been here several times now. The prices are going up but maintenance is going down.(no maintenance at all). It is about time for a serious overhaul. Still worthwhile...

Excellent value, even in Thailand

Swimming pool, vegetarian meals and the mattress
I had a great stay at Aiya residence. The pool is obviously fantastic, it meets your expectations from the photos. The room is spacious and the bed is comfortable. One drawback would be only being given one WiFi code for one device, however I invested in 3g so this didn't trouble me. The gym costing 100 baht per use seemed unnecessary as well, but given my limited time I just used the swimming pool for exercise. I also want to mention vegetarian thai food at the restaurant as a major plus.

"The Shining" Meets Bangkok

Clean, Good Pool, Close to Skytrain
This hotel is very tired and has not been updated in 20-30years. Area only has local style food and 7-11s. Back alley feel to the neighbourhood especially at night. Although the room felt very old and dated it was very clean, spacious, with big fridge and hot water pot. Staff were professional and friendly. Quiet location and close to skytrain. Probably not best value but suitable on a basic level.

Average hotel, not bad but not great either.

Cheap resturant, Swimming Pool, Clean Laundry
Average hotel. Maybe expected slightly more for the price. Many of the reviews give this hotel a good location as it is near the BTS station but in reality many of the tourist attractions aren't on the BTS line so I was pretty disappointed with the location. Really enjoyed the pool and dining facilities. The hotel room was ok and clean which was a bonus. Staff weren't very helpful. All in all, I have mixed feelings towards this hotel.

A week in BKK

service, location, price
We had a quiet stay for a week, the hotel is located close to BTS wongwian yai, a short walk. It's located in a soi with many small shops and the area have many markets with cheap good food. The staff was friendly and attentive, rooms got cleaned on time and such. All in all it was a comfortable and affordable stay in a calm area of Bangkok, not so hectic as a few other areas we've tried.
