About The Alexandra Hotel

Description

Considered one of the best budget stays in all of Toronto, the Spartan and comfortable rooms at The Alexandra Hotel are a great value. All of the units are converted studio apartments so each room comes with a small kitchen, great for whipping up some breakfast in the morning. Nearby attractions are numerous and include Kensington Market and Spadina Avenue, Chinatown, and the culinary delights at nearby Rivoli are not to be missed. If traveling on a budget, past visitors will agree that this hotel, with its great location and miniscule rates is a great find.

Acceptable accommodation close to downtown
location, reasonable price, quiet neigbourhood
I stayed for 6 nights. The hotel is not business level but suitable for single travellers or families with kids. My room had small kitchenet with some basic equipment - few plates, glasses, pot, cuttlery etc, fridge, microwave oven, small kitchen range. Though there was a TV its remote control was not available in the room. But reception supplied it within a day. Room had perfect view of downtown with CN Tower. Nearest food supermarket opened till 11pm was some 3 minutes walk. Metro line, however, is more than 20 minutes walk, or street car was available nearby for travel.

Alexandra Hotel
Value comfort and spaciousness
Good except for a very cold unhelpful young man on reception. Woman was great.

Great hotel and location for price
good value for money
This hotel is well equipped for short one night stays, it is close to Chinatown and also downtown. There is car parking and the hotel is fairly easy to get to, but not obvious to find as it is located at a corner of a park and school. Visitors will find the price a little high during the peak seasons but otherwise some rooms have kitchens that allow visitors to cook themselves if they are into doing that.

Nice hotel with added necessities in rooms
Quiet area and in the entertainment district
I had stayed at this hotel two other times while in Toronto. The Rooms are of average size, although some of the furniture looked aged a bit for the 70's it was very clean and tidy. extra features in the were a small refrigerator, toaster , microwave oven. The area is on the edge of a park. But in a neighborhood close to Kensington market as well as queen street near some good rock clubs, restaurants and all sorts of shops. its still within a walking distance to the CN tower and close to street cars.

Good lower cost option
Affordable, cooking facilities if you want them.
We booked a stay here at the last minute after deciding to include a Toronto stop on our trip. It was a good lower budget option in a reasonably expensive city. The room was basic but comfortable and had cooking facilities(though we didnt use them as we were only there for one night). Was within walking distance to the main part of town but plenty of cool little bars and restaurants nearby. We even had a view of the CN tower from our window. A good choice if you are just after somewhere to shower and sleep and would prefer to spend your money on getting out and about.

The Alexandra Hotel
The localization helped for shopping, cheap parking, nice room for the value.
It was a little hard to find being on a dead end street.
My wife and I thought this hotel was a great value for the dollar, the room was very clean, the staff were very nice, sure it's not a five star, but if you just need a clean room for the night while you go to Ontario Place, or the Molson Ampitheatre, this place works, it also has a small stove, fridge, and sink. For the value it is a 5 star.

cheap choice in toronto downtown
cheap, good position in downtown
old facilities, no hall, uncomfortable bed
The position is in downtown and the Alexandra garden. It is also near China town and Eaton center (15 mins. walk), therefore good for travelling around downtown and shopping. However, the facilities in the hotel is really old and simple. The mattress is too soft to sleep, the room is also small, without coffee maker in room (although it can be got from the reception desk). No hotel hall.

Matig hotel, redelijk geprijst
Betaalbaar, locatie prima, voordelig parkeren!
