Fantastic getaway

Cleanliness, Staff friendliness, Quiet surrounding
Good place to rest, getaway from hustle and bustle of the cities. Breakfast buffet was limited but of course healthy choices. Very relaxing. Will come again definitely.

Relaxing, Exclusive and Overall Great Experience

The Villa, the Service and the facilities were excellent. Staff was friendly, food was timely and the accommodation is clean and comfortable.
It was a great experience and a perfect place to just lie around and relax for a day or two. The hotspring facilities were good and the Spa treatments (sold separately) were excellent as well. We arrived before check in time, upon arrival were given a tasty ginger drink, were then given a tour of the facilities and were driven by buggy to our villa. At any time, you may call upon the service of the buggy to bring you about. Our Villa had a large pool to swim and a personal hotspring, which was perfect for a quick soak and dip. The Villa walls are high ensuring some degree of privacy and exclusivity, since children below 12 are not allowed here either. A public pool and public hotspring are also available if you fancy being in the outdoors, aside from other facilities such as the Spa, free Yoga classes (at 5pm), a well equipped gym, a steam cave (natural Sauna), and Meditation cave. There's also a cave bar opened from 9pm - 11pm daily and a restaurant that caters to your needs up till 9pm. There is heavy focus on recovery and relaxation here, so most paid services offered are along the lines of health and rejuvenation. I extended my stay here an additional night because I loved my first day and the manager offered me the same price, despite the price hike on weekends and public holidays (I checked in on thursday). I will definitely go back there, once I've visited every other nice Villa in Malaysia :P

Landscaping maintenance could be better, no wifi

Personal jacuzzi, spacious unit, friendly staff
They are upgrading the wifi so we get zero signal during our stay. Tons of mosquitos, jacuzzi in my unit need to be fixed twice before we can use it

Overrated; overpriced; too many mosquitos

The view was magnificent ; efficient housekeeping; privacy
The staff knew that it was our 1st wedding anniversary and nothing was done or arranged for the occasion.  Freezing water in the plunge pool which is very strange in a hotsprings retreat; I mean we could barely stay in the pool for more that 45 minutes even at noon because the water doesn't warm up. The mosquitos : my wife and myself were stung so many times and we had to use local antibiotics;  local steroids  and oral antihistamines  ( my wife had to even use oral antibiotics at one point) ; we had to buy 2 different kinds to mosquito repellent because the one in the room was completely ineffective;  we had to buy insect spray because it wasn't available in the resort; we didn't notice any effort being done for insects control by the resort.  Very poor wifi signal in the room; we had to move around the room to get a hardly adequate  signal strength which was inconsistent most of the time in spite of having new powerful phones ( samsung s6 and iPhone 6)  The food was heavily overpriced and very small portions but to be honest it was delicious.  Delay in getting certain facilities that was asked for the room  and they brought them over 2 times because the forgot what we asked them to bring. We went to dine outside the resort for a change and the staff knew that we want halal food only but after we arrived to the restaurant we found that it was not halal and was had to leave

A Very Cool Place, Indeed !

The location, the villas and the facilities
Excellent ! Was welcomed at the car park by Mr Raymond Koh, Director of Operations and he personally helped us with our luggage. That's a truly personal welcome...Thanks Very Much. All the staff at the retreat were very warm and friendly - Mr. Felix (Chef), Ms. L...(forgot her name)the General Manager, service and F & B. Really enjoyed our 3 nights stay at the wonderful Water Villa. Lastly, was again helped at the car park by Mr Raymond Koh when leaving the retreat. A Memorable Experience !
