Good Location
The location is located a good 10 mins walk from People Square metro station, so if you have heavy luggage I would suggest a taxi! Our room was spacious, has a high ceiling, cleaned, efficient and quiet air cond., city view window and a small fridge for our fruits. The hotel seemed to be in 2 parts, anything higher than 5th floor, you have to go through a 'maze' corridor to access the second lifts, can be confusing at 1st but you'll get used to it. Next door to the hotel, is a traditional Chinese restaurant with tasty buns and dumplings, and nearby streets has plenty of eateries on offer, and fruit shops, which sells surprisingly tasty and sweet strawberries (better than any I have eaten or picked in UK) and only 15-20 mins walk from the Jia Jia Dumplings. The only downside is the internet speed, which is probably beyond its control!!! It only has 2 floors of NON smoking rooms, so make sure you state this if you are a non smoker, given that our room was just a 'normal' room it didn't have any 'cigarette smell' at all!

Good hotel to stay
Good location, comfortable stay. Walking distance to subway station and Nanjing walking street. Plenty of local food stores around. The staff is not as friendly as most 4 stars hotels though.

Nice Hotel.
The Bund is perfectly situated for shopping, nightlife, business, and sight seeing. I stayed in the executive suite and thought the room was well appointed and good value. Where this hotel falls on it's face is the staff. I have never in my life seen a more removed, complacent and almost rude staff compliment in a hotel. My money will be spent elsewhere next time in Shanghai, simply for this reason.

It is a really good hotel in a great location. The breakfast is still good (used to be a bit better). Rooms are nice, clean, quiet. Staff speaks English acceptably - some better than others. Location is great and cost is reasonable.

Awful Stay In Shanghai
We had awful stay there, bad treat from manager who in-charge for breakfast. Bad manner, not allow us to dine in where we had paid for the meal. I would said rude instead bad attitude from front desk, especially who involve in hotel industry, the bund hire an holligan from wild wild west yell to their customer in early morning during room check-out! That's ridiculous! I'd not revisit or recommend to any one of my relative or friend.
