Old Fashioned Service

Location, Staff, Room
With the exception of the bathroom, which could have been cleaner, we had an excellent stay. The location was superb and the hotel met our expectations of what a good standard, traditional hotel should be like. The bed was soft and very comfortable and the room large enough to make ourselves comfy in. The Concierge and staff were all very helpful and friendly. Would recommend if the price was right.

Cavendish perhaps overrated

Location; Concierge;
We had a very long flight from South Africa - 14 hours with Taxi to hotel. My secretary organised beforehand that we either get an early room or just a shower room beforehand. The hotel actually came back to her to assure her that they will make a plan. When arriving at the front desk the lady was really very nasty and said to us that there is no ways that she would be able to assist. I then said, but it was organised prior to the trip. I also said that we had an evening flight the next day to Edinburgh, but that I booked the room for an extra evening as I don't want to be a burden on the hotel. After a long argument and after her manager came to the rescue, we were helped with a shower room for 30 minutes. We only got our room at 16:00! I was not impressed! The rooms are very small. I will definitely not stay at the Cavendish ever again!

Comfy, and centrally located

good location, very comfy bed, free wifi
Whilst it may seem a bit tucked away on Jermyn St, the Cavendish is in a great location - close to everything - and within walking distance too - from SOuth Bank to Oxford St & Marble Arch - just be prepared to zigzag across back streets a bit. The rooms, whilst not huge, are well fitted out and the bed must be one of the most comfy I have ever slept in!

Pleasant and centrally located.

Centrally located, good service and comfortable room
The hotel is centrally located and closed to public transport. A lot of restaurants and shops nearby the hotel, about 3 to 5 minutes walk. Hotel has good services and the room is comfortable. By London standard, the hotel price is reasonable and the size of the room is big as comparabled to our hotels with similar price.

Excellent location in premier area!

Location, attentive staff, comfortable room.
We have stayed at the Cavendish on a few occasions, chiefly because of its location- opposite Fortnum and Mason and close to the Royal Academy, Green Park, the Ritz and quality shops. The hotel's rooms are quite comfortable and of a reasonable size. The hotel staff are its best ambassadors...courteous and anxious to please - nothing is too much trouble. Two small gripes: 1. My wife is diabetic and requires a couple of slices of toast at breakfast time - she is not allowed to indulge in the vast array of food available in the breakfast buffet. Sadly then, the £22.50 charge is excessive to say the least! 2. The Wi-Fi charge of £15 an hour in bedrooms is ridiculous these days...when it is freely available in the lowliest burger bar, telephone box, pub etc. The Cavendish needs a rethink on these issues!

Short stay but great location and nice room

Location, location, location...
Only had 1 night at the Cavendish. It's a very nice hotel. Rooms are small but that is to be expected in central London. Great location close to the action but quiet enough to get some rest. Expensive but does deliver. At this price it's amazing that internet is not included in the room.

Perfect central location

The location, the staff, tea
Fantastic hotel! It is very centrally located to many restaurants, tube station, buses, and shopping on Regent and Oxford Street. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We were always greeted when we returned.
