The Colonnade

I very much enjoyed the neighborhood: Paddington Station is walking distance, as is Regents Park, and a great strip of coffee shops, pubs and shops.
This was my first stay, and I had reserved a small single room. However when I arrived, I was told I had been upgraded a couple of levels. The room I actually got for my two night stay was fantastic; large, lots of natural light, very nicely appointed. So while I can't comment on the room I originally reserved, I thank the hotel very much for providing the unsolicited upgrade, which helped make for a memorable couple days in London.

A Touch of Luxury

location, beautiful rooms, Minnie the cat
A very beautiful little hotel. The room felt luxurious. The local area is very nice indeed, a quiet, elegant part of London, but within easy reach of the centre. We enjoyed our strolls by the canal. The staff were lovely and we fell in love with Minnie the cat, who is a very important presence in the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

Little Gem of a hotel near Paddington

Great location, fantastic service, great rooms
I was very impressed with the Colonnade. The staff were fantastic, very warm and friendly and available at all times to assist. The location of the hotel was perfect being a minute walk from the tube and only one stop away from Paddington. The room I stayed in was quiet, very comfortable and of a good quality and size. Overall a very pleasant stay which would make me highly recommend this hotel to business as well as leisure travellers.

Location, location, location

Location, cleanliness, finishing touches
Great location, friendly staff, clean rooms, lovely touches - tea and coffee with biscuits, daily bottle of sparkling water, fresh apples, towelling robes and slippers, turn down service with chocolates. Tube station visible from the front door in a lovely area of London. A great treat.

Quaint and full of character, lovely staff. Good location.
Lovely small hotel in an old townhouse. Great location. My room was a little tired but I would definitely stay again.

Hotel in Little Venice with Charm and Character

Location. Decor. Comfort.
It was good. The hotel was well located, rooms were nicely decorated, lots of charm and character. Definitely feels like I have walked into the past with how the decor was done up and the old lift in the building. Perhaps to maintain the theme, the bathroom was not the state of the art found in some other 4 star hotels. Staff service was not the best I have encountered, but not terrible either. Just average. It feels like a family owned hotel, as there are not many staff supporting the operations of the place.

Nice vintage hotel

Cleanliness, theme, location
We were given a free upgrade to suite but the aircon in the suite is not working. However as the weather was cold, we didn't mind as we open the window throughout the night. When we check out, the recwption was rude and unhelpful. We asked to call a cab to go to a nearby hotel and she called a cab that cost 12 pounds. W were told it was a fixed rate cut when we alight, the driver charge us 14 pounds. Later at our second hotel stay, the reception there told us there are 2 types of cab in London. One that is more suitable for long distance and another one is for short distance that is charged by meter. That explains why we were charged 12 pounds for a less than 10 minutes taxi ride. At our second hotel stay, we took a cab from hotel to airport which cost us 25 pounds only.
