A nice laid back place.

The position was good. The staff were excellent. The breakfast was good.
We found all aspects of this hotel to be very good. The staff were very helpful, there was no noise you could not help to feel you were there only guests. We found the Rusty Keyhole Reasuatant a great place to eat. The sunset river cruise with the fire flys was great. Book mountain was good even though it was misty and raining.

First rate and delightful!

Charm, comfort and service...
Although including a few quirks (unstable hot/cold water adjustment, steep stairs, limited menu at breaKfast and lunch, none at dinner), this hotel was far and beyond what I expected to find in Kampot. Charming, tasteful, and anxious to please, The Columns was a real treat. If you can afford it, well worth the price. I most certainly would stay here again...

Quite a surprise

Stylish, friendly and in great location
I only stayed one night at the his classy and friendly, colonial-style hotel but would happily have stayed longer. Indeed, Kampot itself is worthy of more than one night. A very pleasant surprise to stay in a hotel with such character

Great hotel in Kampot

The Columns is a hotel that suits western travelers who want to have a little bit more comfort once in a while. The rooms are modern and bright and the private balcony was a highlight.
The bed was the most comfy bed I was sleeping in in SE Asia. The staff was nice and the location great- totally in the centre of Kampot. The breakfast is not that good thoug. The quality of the food is great but the variety isn't and the portions are too small. You need to eat a second breakfast elsewhere in the city to get a good basis for the day.

Lovely boutique hotel

Room, Staff, Breakfast, Location
Only gripe and to watch for - no elevator. Otherwise lovely place to stay close to the river
