Dirty and smelly

Good location, just few walks away from the Paddington underground.
The bed is smelly and sunken. A lot of rubbish in the cabinet. However, the location is great.

I am not a picky person but this 'hotel' was awful

1. Location 2. hot water
We arrived to discover that we got a tiny twin room with no towels, no kettle, a broken window, and only a tiny piece of soap to support out stay. The hot water was only during certain time, and also had to pay exptra 5 pounds to get the Wifi password that worked not its best...what a cheapskate!! At night we discoved that the walls are as twin as made from rice paper as we could hear all the walking and snoring our neighbours made. In the morning of our second day my mother discovered a few bites around her body and small drop-size spots on her bed...only to discover fleas!! YES, FLEAS. We are not picky customers but this was the last straw so we went to the reception to receive some sort of financial compensation but were told that they are not responsible for that as we booked a hotel through an agend. The only thing we could get is a different room which was a little bit nicer yet it was in the basement and you could hear the subway passing every 10 minutes, and the water pipes making a terrible noise everytime someone else from the rooms above went to take shower. This all experience completely ruined our impression of London and I can definitely say that most of the hostels I stayed at are many times better than this so called 'hotel' that isn't worth the money we payed.

Everything is very basic and satisfying.

The comfortable room, friendly staff members and its location.
It was good. The room is very comfortable. The journey of going up and down the stairs was exhausting since I have got a heavy luggage. The staff members were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was very basic.

This hole needs blowing up !

1) The weather was sufficiently warm not to have to sleep under the covers, 2) going out for walks so not to be there, 3) and leaving.
The Hotel is in a lovely area with a lovely square that puts Albert Square to shame, unfortunately in stark contrast to other hotels in the square it looks more like an emergency refuge. The rooms are shoddy, the bedding although clean smell musty and have stains. The reception staff had halitosis so that is a reflection on how they would treat others if they don't look after themselves. The rooms have no kettle or tea making facilities. One room which was open appeared to be a converted broom cupboard. Breakfast was less than appetising, I went to a shop to eat afterwards. The toilets have just enough room to sit side saddle. There are no towels, you have to pay extra for them, there are no toiletries provided. Upon requesting an extra pillow which they promised, they failed to deliver so never tried hard enough to satisfy customers. And in one of the shared toilets someone scribbled on the door "This hole needs blowing up !", for me this just about summed it up. On the plus side, it does have a wonderful view from the front door as you are leaving !

24h staff
The room was horrible and dirty, wifi was not included in the room price and only works in the lobby, water in the room's shower was freezing cold, no towels, sheets weren't changed, bed was hard and dirty and had tobacco holes, tv only works if you have transformer, breakfast was the same every morning: toast was burned and coffee tasted like it was made two days prior, the walls made out of paper so you wake up few dosen times a night for somebody agresivily closing doors, yelling or praying and not all lights worked in the room. All and all the five nights that we stayd I wish we hadn't.

Great location, filthy hotel.

The location and the friendly staff are the only plus points of this hotel.
The carpet, shower and furnishings were dirty. The chair in the room some unclean person must have sat on with no underwear on. You can imagine the rest! However the sheets on the bed were clean. Breakfast is a bowl of cornflakes and 2 slices of toast without a plate. The rooms come with no towels , hand towels are available at reception for £2. Location was very central, excellent for sightseeing . I would not stay there again.

Short stay in London

Close to Hyde park, close to Paddington station, close to a range of restaurants.
We really enjoyed our stay there, the rooms were very basic, bed and hand basin, small table and 2 old grubby chairs. But! It was all we needed for tourists who were out all day and just needed somewhere to lay our heads at night. The bathroom was not in the room but it was no trouble for us, we needed our own bath towels but I would prefer that anyhow! Overall, no nasty surprises, I think it is what it claims to be; budget!! Will stay there again.
