Great hotel

Location, Warmth and good sized rooms
I loved the fairmont although a little dated it had a great warm lobby and restaurant. I had a herb courtyard room which was spacious

Easy to access. Good for business travelers.

Just 1 minute walk from Skytrain Waterfront Station. Friendly and helpful staff. Newly refurbished toilet.
Most of the hotel staff are nice and helpful but the cleaning staff really disappointed me. Once checked in the room, I found used cotton pads, shower cap and toilet paper in toilet bowl. Front desk staff tried to offer me 2 other rooms but the renovation and view of both rooms are not as good as original one, so we sticked to the original one eventually and asked them to clean the toilet once again. The manager on duty apologized promptly and offered us free wifi, mini bar and 1 day free breakfast. But then I found a cockroach on ceiling on 2nd night and also a plastic grove left besides my luggage by cleaning staff the other night! Also, the ventilation window on ceiling of toilet and the hair dryer are full of dust. Can't believe what I found in such a 5 stars chain hotel. The waitresses at restaurant ARC are friendly and helpful but their food are below average and not worth the money.

Pleasant hotel but poor service

Very convenient for Conference Centre
Much cheaper rates available in comparison to nearby hotels. Right opposite the Conference Centre and virtually as convenient as the Pan Pacific which is in the same building as the Conference Centre. Room was pleasant but not spectacular. It was frezing cold and tool about 24 hours to get it warm. Attitude of some staff was poor. Arriving at 13:00 after a 16 hour journey I was told I had to wait 3 hours for my room. Discovered on the last morning that there was a coffee service on the floor but was not offered this until I was just about to check out. Bill was incorrect. It was corrected without argument but this sort of thing is annoying.
Nightlife Tip: Lots of good restaurants within walking distance - go west from the hotel and up the hill to the left.
