A great find.
qualtity of room, friendliness of staff and qualtity of food
Excellent. I booked a family room which was clean and spacious. The accommodation overall was fine with a good restaurant and helpful and friendly staff. The location is lovely although a little outside of Winchester.

fox and hounds stay
the food surved in the hotel was good , the room facilitys were good and the general view of the pub was great
The room we stayed in was good and the facility's were good but the general condition of the whole premises seemed to be run down ( i know that the pub is old but it can be looked after ). The bed coverings were a bit frayed which did look good. The meal served in the hotel on the evening was good but the pastries for the morning continental breakfast were stale.( shame ) . this left a bad final impression.

Cute village location with lovely breakfast
Pub/restaurant looked lovely, though sadly we didn't have a chance to eat there. Cute village
Nice little continental breakfast in the room in the morning, so could eat when we wanted. Cute little room with every you needed

Lovely rural location
food, quiet, quaint location
no internet access, bit hard to find
You need a car to get here, and it's a bit of a drive (20 mins?)from Winchester, but it's in a very beautiful, picture postcard area, lovely for a stroll around the quiet residential streets. Pub restaurant was booked pretty full, and when we had dinner we weren't surprised, the food was really excellent quality, good value and a nice atmosphere. Nice garden area to sit in. Get directions from the hotel before you go, as it is outside Winchester.
