Staff unhelpful, Command of English terrible, Noisy. Dirty.
This was the most disappointing hotel we stayed in, in Hanoi. We paid for a late check out twice. Once with agoda and were told by the staff that this is free anyway up to 3pm then we paid again half the room rate to stay until 9pm. The staff were so unhelpful but it may have been that they really didn't understand as their English was awful. Our room still had the previous guests foodstuff in the fridge when we checked in and the bathroom wasn't very clean. The hotel is popular with golfers who hit golfballs into the lake next to the pool, so no chance of relaxing around the pool. The golfers then proceeded to jump in the pool "fully clothed" after their exertions. Staff just looked on, and stood around chatting. The outside area around the pool was dirty and needed a good clean. Location close to the lake which is nice but there is nothing else no decent restaurants and the staff just advise you to take a taxi to the old quarter. Staff had no knowledge of immediate vicinity. The staff and service in many of the boutique hotels in central Hanoi are far superior than this hotel and much better value for money. The only positive about this hotel is the breakfast was really good.

An Enjoyable Stay
I stayed here for 10 nights while I was out on business. The hotel is very nice and great value for money. The location is good, right on West Lake and a taxi to the old quarter will cost you about $2.

A 'SIGNATURE' Stay with professional and friendly staff
A cosy room with the spacious surrounds of the hotel -the restaurant looking out over the swimming pool and the golf practice strip to the West Lake. A nice stroll around the lakeside past the fishermen/women, the caged birds and the eagle with the clipped wings to a quality cafe, some street stalls and a local temple. The ambience of a Monte Carlo resort of yesteryears with a modern take. A taxi queue and an ATM at the front of the hotel. Alas, few restaurants and street food stalls for Western preferences. The staff throughout seemed genuine and friendly while professional at the same time. The quality of the hotel restaurant more than suffices. PS. Mr. Ajay, please double check the authenticity of the restaurant curries!!! Cam on! Michael Ocean Hoi An/New Zealand

Value, service, comfort
Good. The space could use s renovation, the golf area has loads of employed but very old rental clubs and mats at the driving range, food was meh. Service was good and room was very comfortable.
