The hotel is an art/design experience

I loved the design ---the Eclectic Retro-Industrial vibe which are carried all throughout the hotel. Our room is spacious and we couldn't hear the noise from the street which gave us a good night's sleep. Breakfast selection was great. After the previous day's gorging on Cebu's piggy specialties at Gerry's Grill & Dessert Factory (at Ayala Center), it was so good to see the healthier options at the breakfast buffet. The layout of our bedroom, the attention to and the artsy details and, most importantly, the service we received also reminded me so much of The Picasso Boutique Serviced Residences in Makati I had to ask the concierge if the hotel is managed by the same people as The Picasso's. And the answer is YES :) The Henry and The Picasso are managed by Hospitality International, Inc. Stamp of excellence right there. Very courteous and attentive staff, fast check in and check out. Thank you, The Henry Hotel. *** check out the art gallery on the 2nd floor and include breakfast in your booking (aside from the food, the interior of the dining area is worth it)

The pop art hotel

Cleanliness, friendly helpful staff, and the art!
We had a pleasant stay and I'd say we'll stay there again when we return to Cebu. The good: It looks/feels/smells clean everywhere -- from the lobby to the hallways and the room. Feels cool everywhere, it may make you not want to leave when it's hot outside. Room and even the bathroom are also spacious. Dining area is also spacious and the breakfast is good. Everyone is helpful and friendly. Pop art everywhere! (And some are for sale) The not so good: Not walking distance to the major commercial centers (Ayala Center, IT Park, etc). Most are a ride away but traffic can become bad during rush hours. But, there are a couple of smaller commercial centers (Banilad Town Center, Gaisano Country Mall) within walking distance.

Room size
1. Location - Not at the center, cab drivers are not very familiar with the hotel and there is no address on the hotel card. 2. Bathroom - In a 3D/2N stay, I took 3 showers with no hot water. I had to complain before it was fixed. But that same night, there was no hot water again. I had to make another complaint in order for it to be fixed. They said the heating system was tripping. The position of the rainfall shower was also too close to the wall. 3. Breakfast - If you are a choosey person, you will not like their food selection. I had the same breakfast for 2 days. 4. Accommodation - I was not having a good time. I was just requesting for a late 2:00pm check-out to be closer to my departure time. It was a Sunday before a public holiday on a Monday yet, they couldn't indulge my request. After all their hassle, they couldn't even give an additional hour. I asked for the manager and found that they do not have a manager on duty during Sundays.

Interesting hotel with friendly staff

large rooms with theme, friendly staff, good food
The whole hotel had interesting designs. Certainly not the usual average hotel. The hotel was fully booked. The room was huge and had an open bathroom. The room was clean. We like the theme of the room. It gave a nice vibe. However the sofa was small. We were crammed in the sofa watching tv. They have a reading room with books and board games. The food was good. The milk was placed elsewhere in the buffet table and not anywhere near the coffee station. There was no egg station as well. Maybe they change their breakfast buffet daily and we missed the eggs. The staff were very friendly and helped us print our documents for the continuation of the trip. Overall we liked it and will come back again.
