Good hotel for Ferry & business travellers
Quite a good room service menu, plenty of choice. Continental breakfast available from very early on for those catching the ferry. Quiet. Plenty of parking. Free Wi-Fi.
No complaints. Very much a business commuters hotel or somewhere to stay to catch an early ferry. Maybe not the first choice for a romantic weekend or a wedding reception - Larne itself doesn't have much to commend it other than a ferry.
I stayed here twice, after arriving by Ferry and the night before catching the Ferry home. The prices include B & B. In most hotels this usually means forfeiting breakfast if catching the ferry early in the morning, but they were keen to point out that a continental breakfast would be available with the night porter on hand for tea and coffee. After a week of Hotel food I found the room service menu pleasantly varied. The room was large and clean and it was nice and quiet, at least when I was there (Sun and Fri night). There is no gym or keep fit facilities. They were advertising live entertainment on Saturday nights, (£5 entrance) which I didn't experience. It is not an attractive building and has no grounds, so maybe not ideal for weddings or romantic breaks - it is ideal for those using the ferry, which is about 5 minutes away.
