Big hotel with great pool

Pool, friendly staff and good location
The pool was great, however I found it annoying that you had to log in every time you wanted to use the internet. The rooms were also a bit run down and could do with some renovations.

Location, Pool, Staff
We were given a room that had 2 singles pushed together to make a double bed. It was uneven and uncomfortable. Staff were great. Gym was less than impressive.

Jayakarta great location

Location on the beach. Close to great restaurants and food. Close to all shopping and transport.
Booked the apartment as i thought it would be more spacious and comfortable. Was i wrong! We were put in a dark room with a filthy glass brick window..no views. Stained futon couch. Musty smell. 1970s decor etc etc. Opposite the laundry engineering staff area. We were moved to the hotel room the next day and the room was 100 times better than the hole we were put in. Overall the whole place is tired and run down. Very 80s decor and maintenance is obviously only just maintained to a reasonable safety level. The more you look at the place the wose it gets. Pools are nice but shabby. The whole place needs a 10 mil makeover. Obviously the owners are waiting for that big offer as location is fabulous. Most staff were great. Brekky good too. Btw. No safes in rooms. No hot water during the day. No card swipes.

Jayakarta stay

The staff were friendly, good location, good pools
The rooms are old and dated- very musty smelling. Toilets don't flush at times. Beds hard as a rock. TVs old. No hair dryer in room!! Disappointing - will not come back.Staff are friendly and helpful, pools good and gardens lovely. Overall disappointing.

Don't bother. Must read further to understand why.

Beatiful gardens, close to beach and close to restaurants
Would NEVER stay again. Where do I start...? The following happens everyday and is on repeat for your entire stay: Between 3am and 4am drunk Aussie bogans return from their nights out and wake you up, then at 6:30am the staff start pruning and sweeping paths and wake you up. Then you go to breakfast, I must admit that it is a great breakfast but chaos and you are lucky to find a table. So find a comfortable position on the floor. Then if you fancy a day bed, don't bother because you get rude arrogant people who throw towels down on them at 8am to reserve their spot by the pool for the day and not to mention half of these arrogant people don't lay on them and just do this as a matter of convenience after they have gone back to bed and decide to resurface and lay by the pool later in the day. Wi-fi is very poor, and don't bother trying to get it in your room. You pretty much have to go to the lobby to get it. This place is great for family's with kids however couples wanting quiet time, best find another place. Positives - breakfast, location and beautiful gardens. Negatives - pretty much all of the above and a bit expensive to stay for 2 weeks, beers $6 AUD from mini bar in room is an absolute rip off and the staff say no bringing your own into hotel grounds. This place can bash it!

Cheeky staff.. and not in a good way!

Paid extra for 2 x deluxe rooms. On arrival, the staff couldn't find the booking through Agoda, however proceeded to give us keys to what we later discovered to be the 'cheaper' section of the hotel. When questioned, rather than apologising, staff tried to say they were doing us a favour by giving a bigger room. We refused and requested the deluxe rooms as paid for. We were told they were sold out of adjoinging rooms and subsequently ended up being separated from our friends (opposite ends of the hotel!). No apology was given at any stage of their f*ck up!!!
