Look antique and vintage but the truth is not revealed in the pictures
It is one of the worst hotel we ever stayed. Initially when we checked in we got a smoking room. The smell was horrible then we got changed to another room but the view was not like the earlier room. The shower pressure was not enough and the water was not hot. The room was not clean as I could see the dust. Even though the location is a minuz because the hotel need a serious upgrade on the building and furniture. Most of the items in the hotel is falling apart and shabby. The hotelier better do something or they lose it all.

Great Location but Old Building
1st of all. I actually love the location. Within 1KM radius you would be able to visit most of the famous restaurant and cafe in KK. If you stay here during the weekend, the famous Gaya Street Market is just in front of the hotel and you can do you shopping there. But the hotel building is very old and will notice it once you enter into the lift. This hotel definitely need a renovation. Will I stay at here again? Its a big MAYBE.

Overcharge on the stamp fee for postcard posting service
Everything's are fine except I've asked for the help to purchase stamp and postcard, and they charge RM2 stamp each card to post to peninsular Malaysia, Infact the required stamp fee is only RM0.6 when I've successfully received the own posting postcard. They have charged 70% extra for each card. (Total 6)

Basic Necessities need Improvement
The water was initially quite yellow probably due to old pipes since this is the oldest hotel around? The towels also mostly had a very strong toothpaste or some other unpleasant food odor to them.

Great Location, great price
We booked 2 double room for 2 couples travelling together. My sister in-law and her husband was upgraded to the presidential suite with a bathroom big enough to play hide and seek in. Our room across the hall in level 3 is very roomy. Great location, very central. If you are after a great wine, there is a Cellar store at the end of Gaya St, on the left of the hotel. Across the road to the Cellar store is a stairway that will lead you to the highest outlook of KK, if you brave enough to walk through a shanty village.
