Excellent value for money but..
Everything else was just satisfactory. I got a superior queen room on the ground floor. Cleanliness was fine all throughout the room but it took a hit when i spotted a trail of ants on the wall. Really unsightly (Bear in mind that i spotted it the moment we first entered the room.) Staff that did the night shift was not very fluent in English. Despite this, check-in was a breeze at 2300hrs (obviously). Food was enough to stave off hunger pangs. Facilities were fine, no issues pertaining to heated water. One thing though, i have had many budget staycaytions in Singapore, but i must say, that the showering facilities felt very claustrophobic and i am not even exaggerating, 15.sq.m could be utilized better to give just a little more room for the showering radius. The ledge was not raised enough and shower blinds were not long enough to prevent water from spilling over. Better prepare a bath towel for the water absorption. Lastly location was not really a problem, plenty of restaurant and bars within walking vicinity with a convenience store (7-11) just a min walk. Overall S$80 (I had a discount) a night will certainly urge me to book KeongSiak again.

Value for money
The hotel is strategically located in between two MRT stations.Food /cafes are plentiful around the area. The staff are friendly too. The only downside is the room is not soundproof, occasionally you may hear sounds from the hallway or sound of vehicles on the road.Other than that, this hotel is just perfect.

Reasonably priced hotel in Chinatown
Stayed in both the standard double and superior twin rooms and would recommend paying the extra $15 or so for the convenience of a slightly larger room with a window and dry bathroom floor due to the shower hob. Breakfast choices are not extensive but alternate slightly every day and are a welcome inclusion at the price. Well located in the heart of Chinatown with easy access to both Chinatown and Outram MRT stations.

I'd go there again for 'triple room' and few nights stay!
3 of us adults stayed in a 'deluxe triple room. I like it a lot and so do my parents. The room is big and clean. The design from the exterior to interior is simple and elegant. Personally, I think it gives me a relaxing and calm feeling. Even though my single bed was a bit small, it is still acceptable. For short-term stay, breakfast should be okay. If you plan for a longer stay, you might need to go out for breakfast as hotel only serves bread with spreads (fruit/butter), cereals with milk and drinks (apple and orange juices). It serves simple snacks & drinks throughout the day which is also another plus point for me. Location is excellent. 5 minutes walk to Outram Park or Chinatown and a walkable distance to City hall area. Regular price is a bit on a high side but luckily I caught a promo from Agoda. Overall, 3 of us enjoyed our stay there. We will likely stay there again.
