relaxing with best pool in Phnom Penh

the Pool, the staff and location
The food was not the best, although we have been there before when it was much better. But the entire stay was disappointing with mixed up orders and poor quality food. The rooms were clean, but the bed had a bandaid/plaster stuck to the sheets! Gross. But everything else was nicely maintained. They do not like visitors bringing food and drink poolside but as paying customers staying at the resort, it seemed silly that we had to go back to our rooms to eat anything (like an apple and water bottle) as we were not allowed to eat our own food there. In fact it did not value our patronage. There was no wi-fi access in the rooms, only poolside. And the massage/spa that was advertised is not available despite signs still showing that it is available. This was disappointing as this was part of the reason why we came. In western culture, you cannot do false advertising as you are held liable, but understandably the culture is different in Cambodia. We love the staff and the owners wife is lovely so we will come back again to use the pool and eat the souvlaki!

It was great to go here with the kids for the pool

pool, tennis court, not many other guests
Good great fun for the kids. Would not give us late check out but no one else was there. Food options tasty but limited and small portions. Pool is awesome, tennis court is good but would not give us new balls even thought they had them. Quiet place.

terrible service, humid rooms, rated way too high

internet was working well
we were supposed to have a relaxing weekend away from phnom penh, where we live and work. this hotel is actually bringing guests more stress than relaxation. the service is terrible, since the staff is untrained, but willing though. the boss ignores the guest and rages at the staff all the time. the rooms are smelly, and equiped like a ten dollar guesthouse. no bathroom supplies, no coffee or tea to go along with the watercooker. the tv can not be watched from the bed, since it's place on a low table. the (empty) fridge is smelling like it hasn't been opened for months. the aircon, which is unadjustable, is buzzing all night, so hard to get to sleep. the fan above the bed will give you a cold, since it's going very fast and is positioned right above the bed. no cleaning in the morning, no fresh towels, they just put a bottle of water in front of the door... only nice thing here is the nice kiddy pool. but we ordered lots of food during our stay in the pool area and were denied to eat a piece of fruit we brought from outside, since we had to buy stuff from their menu. but all they have is fat food, nothing healthy, and it will take ages to be served, and half of the items are unavailable. it also takes the staff 20 minutes to even tell you an item is no longer available... big disapontment.

Fun but should include breakfast for the price

Pool perfect for small children, varied international menu, nice out-of-city retreat
There are many positives to Kingdom Resort & Spa. Loved the proximity to Phnom Penh (about 30 minutes by tuk tuk) and far enough off of the highway to be peaceful and relaxing. We paid $35 for our rooms which were fairly standard affairs. For the price, breakfast really should have been included. The pool is fantastic for children, and the international menu delicious with a nice range of dishes to choose from. Loved the refill on the coffee.

very quietf

Pool; grounds; great if you had small children
Everything went well though felt they could have given you more information about the Hotel - not many people booked in and felt unsure of what we could or couldn't do. The pool area is beautifully designed and this resort is more suited to families with small children, and I also think that it would be able to cater for confrences. It is probably a little too far out from centre of Phnom Penh, but having said that it only cost about $8 to go in by tuk tuk

best resort in Phnom Phen

clean, educated and helpful staff
the kingdom resort is a modern well priced vacation style resort that caters for not only the family but also the business person. Big clean rooms with soft bed and lots of comfortable furnituer in landscaped surrounds. Located a few minutes from city so having our own car this was not an issue. the staff will support the traveler with out own vehicle. Again I thank the management and staff for a pleasnt stay.
