Providing 20 well-appointed guestrooms, the palace hotel is set amidst sprawling green lawns, lily ponds and fountains. The Laxmi Niwas Palace Hotel Bikaner is 1.5km from the Bikaner Railway Station. Located on Karni Singhji Road, the two-star-hotel is also close to Bikaner’s many sightseeing attractions, shops and restaurants. It was once the personal residence of Maharaja Ganga Singhji, and most of the refurnished rooms have maintained their royal charm with lavishly gold wall paintings and carved wood ceilings. The onsite restaurant features a variety of local and international cuisine. The palace is an ideal destination for travelers who want to experience Bikaner’s rich cultural heritage.
Our bigger, banquet-style dining room has huge ceilings and a Messel Green decorative motif. On its broad wall-length tables and sideboards, substantial breakfast buffets are laid out daily as is lunch or dinners for those of our guests who engage the venue for private functions.
Our bar is decorated with the carefully selected spoils of royal hunts. The house of Bikaner had many prolific shots, and their skill is plain to see in the likenesses between the pairs of animals chosen. Above the single beam of mahogany that forms the bar, the huge heads of a rhinoceros and a Nepalese bison square off. There is a spectacular leopard in a vitrine and pairs of lionesses, platypuses, boars, deer, tigers, Royal Bengals and a couple of hair-raising coyotes mounted on the walls. Have our barman whip up one of his spicy bloody marys or another of his stellar cocktails and enjoy the company of your new drinking buddies.
