Hotel description
The moment guests arrive at this luxurious fortress, it is no mystery that The Leela Palace Bangalore was designed...see more The moment guests arrive at this luxurious fortress, it is no mystery that The Leela Palace Bangalore was designed and conceptualized with royalty in mind. Though the highly trained staff creates the feeling of being hidden away from the chaos of metropolitan life, the heart of the city is only a few minutes away. The train station is just 10km away while the airport is 45km away from the hotel. MG Road, the entertainment as well as business hub, is just five kilometers away while the IT hub of Whitefield is approximately a 30-minute drive away. Surrounded by beautiful lagoons and landscaping, the scenery does not disappoint. Enjoy transcontinental and Pan-Asian cuisine from the Citrus, Jamavar, and Zen restaurants. Spend relaxing evenings with a good book and strong drink at the English-styled Library Bar. For a luxurious and pampered stay when in the Garden City, The Leela Palace Bangalore should be your hotel of choice.

Nice and pleasant stay at Leela

Comfort, cleanlieness and friendliness from staff

My stay at Leela Palace was amazing. It is easily reachable from Bangalore airport by car. Leela Palace also provide airport transfer in a nice swanky BMW. Every staff member from Leela Palace was extremely welcoming and polite and I was greatly impressed by their service attitudes. The rooms were big enough and had all the amenities that I need during my stay there. My hotel package did not include breakfast, so I cannot comment on that. Overall, Leela Palace is a great place to stay while in Bangalore.

I have stayed in Leela Mumbai many times and it is a great hotel. That's why I wanted to try another hotel of their chain. The Leela Palace did not let me down at all. The property is amazing and from the moment you arrive, you feel like you are entering an actual palace. The experience starts with a typical Indian welcome, which I find is a very nice touch. All staff I met were extremely friendly, always smiling and concerned about my well-being. For a hotel of this class definitely standard, but unfortunately, you don't find it too often these days. The rooms are awesome. Very comfortable with all amenities like bathtub and shower (separately). safety deposit box and for me as a business traveller very important: iron/ironing board in the room. I had free WiFi, because i am a member of their hotel chain (otherwise it will be charged). My hotel did not come with breakfast, but I had it anyway. The selection is very good. Indian and Western dishes. Everything is fresh and cooked in front of you. You can chose to have the breakfast inside or outside with a terrific garden view. To my surprise, they invited me for breakfast when i checked out and simply waived the charges. Unfortunately, I could not use the swimming pool in the garden, which looked fantastic (will come back just for that). As i only stayed for one night, I did also not have a chance to check out their gym. All in all top-notch hospitality with the hardware to back it up and make for a unique experience. Well done.

A pampering 2 days beforew going to the coutry sid

Impressive building, extensive list of good restaurants, staff attention
9.3
The car (a BMW serie 5) was waiting for us at the airport. The ride was comfortable and the checking was plaisant an seemless. The opulent decoration is quite striking and though it is not an historical palace it is very well made The room was spacious and comfortable The breakfast buffet is seved a Citrus, a restaurant with an outdoor terrasse. The buffet is adequate. The same place is a restaurant later in the day with a large choice of food. The most striking place within the hotel is the indian restaurant, the Jamavar: its decoration with a very high ceiling is simple but refined and majestic. The food is fantastic and the wine list quite extended but pricey. The bar is a very dark british club like place which has its atmosphere and you can also get you drink on a sofa just outside of it in open air Overall an impressive hotel, well run, with a professional staff.

Food and ambience was great, the library bar was excellent

Few things to complain about since I did have quite high expectations. Found cockroach in bathroom. Water cooker did not work. Had to pay for wifi internet access per day which was disturbing, I missed Skype calls since one payment period ended too early. For 4 day access I paid what I'd pay for 50Mbit monthly subscription in Singapore, this should really be included for free when room rates are in top segment in Bangalore. Arrived 1 hour late for a wedding since hotel taxi driver could not find the address. Gave the address 30 mins before departure for taxi staff to figure out where it was. Ended up giving the driver the same full address more than five times in the taxi. Incredibly unprofessional! And I was fully charged for this service... All other service was good and I absolutely loved the food in all their restaurants.

The allocated room was compromised.

Furnishings, breakfast and ambience

The level of service offered by a Premium Hotel was less than that of a 2-3 star hotel. I travel widely so my opinion is based on fact and justified. The room allocated was less than expected based on the booking criteria - the balcony was tiny and no furniture. Had to beg for wireless internet despite being a GHA member. Turn down service was not given or offered for a premium hotel. Bathroom amenities not offered, except soap and shampoo. Night/room slippers not offered. The care shown by the Duty Manager at check in time was rather discriminatory. The list goes on, but I'll stop,
