Convenience and Comfortable Stay

Location of the hotel - near proximity to the waterfront / food caferias / Chinatown Street. Helpful Hotel Staff / Managers.

I have a great stay at LimeTree Hotel, Kuching Sarawak. The location of the hotel is very near to Chinatown Street (the road just behind the hotel). There are also many food cafeterias to cater to many differnt persons (Bing! Coffee for Coffee lovers, Hawker Center which travellers would like to sample as many local food as possible, Chinese restaurant, local coffee shops that sells local food like Kolo Mee etc and an Indian coffee house). It is only 5 min walk away from the Waterfront. The Guest Relation Manager (i think) named Judy is also very helpful. She helped to check with for me for the Adventure Tours etc. She would also help to follow up on the Tour which we are interested with if she could not find the information at that moment. In fact, the Staff are all very helpful and attentive to their Guest's needs. I have a great stay at The LimeTree hotel and would love to stay with them again the next time i am in town.

Lovely hotel - great value for money

Rooftop bar, breakfast buffet

The Lime tree Hotel is located conveniently next to Kuching's Waterfront. The hotel is very modern, with reasonably sized, clean rooms. Complementary water bottles are offered every day. The staff is very friendly, helpful and professional. The breakfast buffet has a huge choice, from Sarawak specialities/malay breakfast to continental style food, and everything is really tasty. If you have to get up early, a take-away breakfast is preparaed by the hotel. The hotel offers excursions and shuttle services but except for the airport transport, these are more expensive than those of other providers. The rooftop bar is cozy and prices are ok. The hotel also has a little souvenir shop in the lobby.

Excellent Hotel Stay

Great Service
7.7
The LimeTree Hotel stay was an excellent experience. However, we were disappointed with a trip co-ordinated by the hotel with their appointed tour agency. We arranged for a Fairy and Wind Caves visit and were informed that this is a customised trip costing RM120 each. On outing day, the tour guide told us that the Fairy Cave was partially closed and we only explored the front portion of the cave. As for the Wind Cave, the guide then informed that previous flooding had obliterated the mud tracks and the cave was closed. Back at hotel, we asked the staff why we were not informed on the Wind Cave closure prior to the booking. The staff checked and replied that the tour agency had explained that it was a miscommunication between the guide and staff at the cave entrance. The tour agency then refunded us RM20 for each person. A later check with other tour agencies around the Main Bazaar district found that such trips were common and cost RM90 per person. Advise all to compare rates from other tour agencies as well.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Advise all to compare rates from other tour agencies as well.

Nice hotel with good location

Nice breakfast

It is a boutique hotel near to the waterfront. The room is small but clean and bright. The only shortcoming is our room is facing the main road and it can b quite noisy some time. Other than that, this hotel is worth staying.

The location of Lime Tree was very good all walking distance to the markets ,coffee shops and city all within ten minutes or less distance. The roof top of the hotel is very ideal for a quiet day relaxation and view of the city.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: The wet market opposite the hotel on Jalan abell has fishes and seafood coming in early in the morning good to see how business starts at that hour around 6.30am.

Great value for money

Clean, great service

The rooms were small. We expected them to be a bit bigger since we booked a Deluxe King room. It's not centrally located but since Kuching city is a bit small as well, it's still pretty much walking distance to places of interest. Despite the size, our room was clean and it has all the facilities and amenities you need for a comfortable stay. No free toothbrush and toothpaste though. Also, breakfast offerings are not that impressive. The rooftop bar also added to the relaxing experience, providing a view of the river and the edge of the city.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Not much to see in the city. You can see everything in one day. Most attractions are outside the city. I suggest doing the longhouse homestay.

Clean room Not too noisy Powerful enough shower Near good eating places including TopSpot seafood court Location allows for good walks around the city centre Can't comment on the food as we got a list of food to try in Kuching
Hotel Feature Tip: Deluxe room didn't come with a safe deposit box

The room was bright and clean, we had a great view from the large bay window. The staff was extremely nice and useful. There are 2 computers in the lobby that can be used free of charge for the guests. The only weak point was breakfast, which was Malay style, with fried rice, noodles, deep fried bananas. For continental taste, only toasts and jam.
Travel tip: Top Spot Seafood : huge choice of seafood, delicious and good price. Very popular among locals as well.

Nice hotel, very clean

Cleanliness, friendly staff

Faitly good position but 10 minute walk in the heat. To get to the river bank where all the main attractions are. Did not provide a fridge in the standard room which in such a hot climate is essential. Always kept very clean with friendly and helpful staff
