Very basic, OK for one night
Location, location, location
Very basic bungalow, not substanitally built and no-fly screens on the window so insects can easily get into the room (I hosted a big spider). The bed sheets were a bit smelly. Bungalow didnt feel very safe either - I could see that my door was opened with a crowbar some day. All in all the bungalow was overpriced for what you get. There are better options for the same or even less money (e.g. Tanh Kim Nga).

Worn out place in a bereft part of the world
Pleasant garden, nice hut design
The French management is reflected in the pleasant overall feel of the place. But the manager was diffident at the start. The saddest aspect was the run-down nature of the room, as if, like France itself, the manager had lost his mojo. The breakdowns started at the door handle and ran through to the curtain railings and a dozen other breakages. The mosquito nets were too short to fold in.. and on it went. The music lasts well into the night, in competition with the karaoke place next door. Like many other places on the Island, the place only fills up because there is such demand in season. Long Beach is essentially an elongated sandy sewer with lovely sunsets. Best left to the Russians. Other beaches further north are much better, but most of those places take a bite out of your wallet.

Great hotel for a small price
Clean, nice staff, close to the beach
We had a great time @ the Lounge. Its a really nice place with amazing breakfast. They cleaned the room every day. The staff was friendly and the hotel owner was a franceman who gives you all the info about the things you could do on the island. Excually it was a little paradise/vacation for us between all the traveling. Price/quality is really good :) ps: its 1 minute walk from the beach !!

disappointing but has potential
the staff, when they are around, try their best to help
admittedly we probably didn't come at the best time, that time being the tail end of the rainy season, and the whole feel of the lounge was like a retired, former hotel, that' s been deserted for some time... the rooms, whilst adequately furnished and of decent size, had a similar feel- that's it's been many years since someone stayed in that room. i can't say the room was dirty, but it certainly wasn't clean either, and climbing into the sheets made us wish we had brought our own. for those three nights including breakfast we were there we never actually got to have breakfast there, no one ever was around even at a normal breakfast time like 8am. but the owner, when we did have dealings with him (on arrival and again at departure) was very friendly and helpful. the location, whilst not totally bad, isn't that great either, you're neither at the beach (although only 15 mins walk) nor in town, so if you wanna go to either quickly it's probably best to get yourself some wheels (which they can organise for you). i probably won't stay there again, especially now knowing what other great places you could stay at, for not much more money and in a much much better location.

alright, not the best
big room, staff nice when around, not far from beach
Hotel asked us to leave after problems with visa although this was frustrating, we understood and agreed to this. The manager spoke angrily toward us because our visa's were being renewed and we did not have the physical copies of our passports for travel- an issue which had never been a problem before in our travels. On the day we were meant to leave we did not see the staff for hours and had to wait for them to return before we could begin our day exploring and a lot of adventure time was lost. Upon the day of departure they begrudgingly gave us breakfast because it was on the Agoda site but blamed the site for an error. They agreed to a fee for one night only however did not know whether the hotel had been payed for online already. Eventually they had me pay 18$ upon our departure and then additionally I was charged for three nights through my American credit card. I was very sad to have lost so much money to an experience that was so negative.

Friendly staff and comfortable stay.
The hotel has a good location it is only a few moments walk from the beach and beach bars. It is very easy to get a taxi into town from here to the night market. There are good local restaurants.

Okay location, nothing fancy.
Quiet @ night
We stayed here during the Tet holiday so the island was very busy. However we had to pay a premium becuase of the holiday...our room had only a fan, no screens on the windows to keep mosquito out and very dark at night. The location was quiet, but never any breeze so not having airconditioning along with hard beds made for little sleep. The staff was friendly but the services really are for a backpacker and for that it was very expensive. No hot water and one of the rooms did not have a net for mosquitos.

Average with good breakfast
good breakfast
We stayed at standard room. There was road next to the room so cars and scooters woke us up pretty early in the morning. Palm leaves scratched our floor making loud noise so some times it was hard to get a sleep. The was open toilet so no privacy.
