A lovely boutique hotel experience.

Style, location, romantic
I would highly recommend staying at Petit Hotel. Thoughtfully decorated and stylishly executed. Comfortable and cozy - perfect after a day biking around the vineyards.

Great location, fantastic staff and hotel

Staff, location, comfort
I stayed at the Petite Hotel which is part of the Martinborough Hotel in the Manhatten room. The room was really comfortable, clean and well appointed. It's right in the centre of town and within walking distance to the nearby vineyards and the restaurants are just a stroll away. Karen from the Martinborough was very knowledgeable on the area and was fantastic to deal with. I highly recommend the hotel.

Cosy heritage gem

Location, heritage deco, friendly staff
Nice evening in Henry Bunny room, love the fireplace in the lobby, reception ladies are very helpful and breakfast was nice as well. The heating panel is too old fashion and didn't work well, but apart from that, everything is perfect, will definitely visit again.

A gem in the wine country.

Location, relaxation and ambience.
This was a real find, a gem in the heart of a lovely rural town in the middle of amazing wine country. Loved everything about this hotel, the historical feel of our room in the main building, the modern annex room (occupied by our travelling partners), the garden with it's friendly feline occupant and the fun bar/restaurant (including their "vineyard of the month" selection). Martinborough and the surrounding wineries are very special and the drive down the coast to Cape Palliser lighthouse a lovely excursion.

Excellent hotel, memorable experience.

Size of the room, the interior design and decor of the room and cleanliness of the room.
The Martinborough Hotel is a premier hotel in the Martinborough wine region. Visitors to the region should consider the hotel as a relaxation spot, away from the city life of Wellington and an overnight hiatus during their wine tasting tour to the region. The hotel has a countryside charm to it and is really comfortable for couples or honeymoon makers.

a lovely period hotel with good quality finsh

decor, ambience
The room did have a 14 inch tv which was hard to watch, but I guess you don't go to Martinborough to watch TV

Relaxed & pampered

Location, comfort & atmosphere
This is a delightful hotel situated in the centre of Martinbrough. It is a short distance from multiple vineyards (on foot) and ideally situated for those visiting the area. The hotel has a charming old world feel and the staff are very polite and attentive.

bathrooms need upgrade for the price you pay

staff lovely, breakfast good
great location, nice ambience, bathroom in our suite needed to be refurbished, shower cubicle so small and no water just a trickle. no privacy as bathroom door had slates and not a solid door. breakfast was very good. just felt for the money you are spending they need to bring it up to scratch, also tv so old fashioned.
Restaurant Tip: Loved the Tirohana Winery, lovely restaurant in the vineyard.

Delightful Historic Boutique Hotel

Nicely appointed rooms, great service from staff, very clean and well maintained, lovely sitting room on the first floor of the hotel, harden as well
This is a delightful hotel in the small town of Martinborough. It is in the center of town, so convenient to everything we needed. The staff was very helpful in pointing out restaurants and bike rentals. The rooms are a bit short on lighting and storage, but it was not a problem for us.
