Location convenient for Stations but SO noisy
Having spent several days in a particularly peaceful and remote part of the Isle of Mull, central Glasgow on a Saturday was a HUGE contrast. Chose this hotel as it looked like a convenient point to break my journey back home to Essex. Not the Hotel's fault I know but the noise of nearby clubbers, revellers and 'thumpy' music started early evening and was still going on at 3.00am, when I finally managed to drop off to sleep. There was also quite a bit of noise inside hotel as people returned to their rooms. Felt exhausted next day during my ten hour journey home. Room not bad size for single traveller. Pillows were hard, sink tiny and tea and coffee making facilities were very mean considering price I paid - e.g. only a single serving of instant coffee and no biscuits. Be aware that access to the rooms is via a steep, spiral staircase and there is NO lift. I was lucky enough to be on the first floor so did not have too far to struggle with my heavy luggage. I saw others struggling up towards the fourth floor. On plus side, chap in reception was friendly, helpful and welcoming as was the smartly dressed/very professional staff member overseeing the breakfast room and continental breakfast itself was plentiful. Didn't bother to pay £3 extra for a cooked breakfast.

5 night stay
Staff, Location, Price
The hotel was in good location about 5 minutes walk to George Square. Was attending nearby college for 5 days so the reasonable price suited my needs. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and attended to small issue with shower head promptly. Have stayed here before and would definitely stay again in the future

Bad Experience
An average hotel which uses their location and costs more to the customer A very bad experience. As soon as I closed the room door, no internet. The chairs are full of dirt. The bed sheets had clearly visible stains. Beneath the bed were dirt and old customers slips roaming around. The windows did not fit lock so the cold breeze skips in. Thanks to the sunny weather.

noisy, old, dirty
Terrible. It was a disaster to spend a night in this hotel. I checked out in very next morning even though the 3-night fee was unrefundable.

very disappointed
I was a little surprised to find out that the reception and our room was not actually connected and we had to go outside to get to reception. We got into the room and the window had obviously been opened to air out the room which is understandable, however we soon found out that either the heating did not work or was not connected to our room as during the night the room was absolutely freezing and we had to sleep with our coats on regardless of the fact that I had turned the radiator on. The bathroom shower and the cup holder for toothbrushes had not been cleaned properly. The rooms were not as described on the website (modern), everything was wooden and the decorations were very old looking apart from the bed covers and the TV in the room. was also quite unsettled at the fact that when leaving your room to visit the town, you have to hand the room keys into reception. I do not agree with this as I had paid for the room for the time of my stay but had to pick my keys up when entering the room again, also the fact that all of my belongings are in the room did not help me feel any better about the situation. Although, I cannot complain about the staff as they were all very lovely and welcoming.
