The Oriental Village is the one and only naturist-friendly resort in northern Thailand. Surrounded by mountains and rice fields in the Mae-On Valley, this resort lets you experience nature. Explore the surrounding area with treks or bike excursions, take a class in Thai cooking or Muay Thai, and if you are looking for some thrill, opt for rock climbing or waterfall abseiling. While at the resort itself, relax by the paddy fields, get a traditional Thai massage, or go for a swim. And from here, getting into the city is fairly simple with the resort providing a shuttle service running to and from the Night Market. With just 12 cottages, the service is personalized and the experience private. Experience the charm of Thai village living with a stay at The Oriental Village. The best naturist resort in Thailand

Naturism, swimming pool, friendly staff

Thank you Paulo for making this resort a small paradise. We loved to meet naturist couples. Everybody was friendly. And great staff too.

Lovely naturist resort

The OV is a favourite location - it is quiet, has stunning scenery, it is a naturist resort centred on a small swimming pool set in lovely gardens, and has helpful and cheerful staff. This weekend there were couples from Canada, the Seychelles, Holland and Germany enjoying the autumn sun by the pool or having a massage in an open-air sala by the pool. Very relaxing indeed

Great for hanging out

The quietness - the pool - nude sunbathing possible
7.7
Staff friendly, nude sunbathing and swimming are all great. In the middle of nowhere - we loved this. Rooms are basic but clean - don't forget the price here - dirt cheap - good value. We found the food okay - but we have travelled Thailand for last 14 years and are fussy. Return? Yes for a few nights.

Quiet cozy place to relax

Quiet, friendly, relax

Oriental Village (OV) is located far from the city. Normal tourist in rental car should allow at least an hour for the journey. As such, do not expect OV can offer you colorful night life. Instead, it is a place for you to relax and chill out, make friends, enjoy the pool, enjoy the sun, and simply let time stand still. The environment around the resort is very open. There are no fences or walls separating you from the lovely mountain scene with lots of vegetation around you. As such, do expect a fair share of wild life mingling with your holiday life. The ladies had done a great job keeping the rooms clean and tidy, but it is still possible to have gecko visiting you in the middle of the night. They offer home cook style food in the restaurant at a reasonable price. At request, you can also have off menu dishes if you can tell him exactly what you crave. The owner Mr. Paulo is an honest businessman and will inform you if he knows he don't have the best ingredient that day for a particular dish. Because OV is far from the city, many tour operators don't even serve it. I strongly suggest you talk to Mr. Paulo before you even start making reservation. Tell him what you want to see, what you expect from your holiday and he can help you arrange your holiday in the way you want. Having lived in Thailand for a long time, he is much more resourceful than you would expect and it will be wise to take his advice.

Quite disappoint with this hotel

OLD, Not clean, scary

I found this hotel looks scary from the very first step. We thought its gonna be like resort type accommodation, but its not. Its like a couple owned hotel, no one at the front desk at all. we had to go and look for staff when we arrived. Bed is not comfortable at all. very old blanket. Food quality is good.

Relaxing, back to nature and clothing-optional stay

Quiet surroundings, wonderful view of rice terraces and mountains and Paulo the owner who attends to most of your needs

Wow-a really relaxing 4 night naturist stay!I have been to a nude beach before but here is certainly better-able to bask in the poolside for an all-over tan and skinny dip in the morning and afternoon. Also met some like-minded guests from Rome and Holland who were extremely friendly. The room is well-maintained,the bathroom is clean and the bed is comfortable. The mountain air is SO fresh and just drinking coffee or reading a book at the sala (Thai bamboo platform) and looking at the rice fields is deeply satisfying. Please disregard all negative comments about the place. You pay for the star rating of any accommodation-for me the price has been reasonable and this was reflected in the room you get. Also Paulo the easy-going owner will serve you well-he was my driver throughout the entire stay.Forget also the fact that transfers to places of interest are expensive. What you get is personalized service!I would strongly recommend this beautiful resort to all-whether you want to stay here with clothes(but please have an open mind) or not.
