Mixed experience!

F&B team
Very mixed experience. Location is pretty good; out of town, but it is a vast estate and nicely built. Rooms were well maintained. Staff very polite Really enjoyed the raw food cooking class and the F&B team & chef truly went above and beyond to help rectify issues. The trek was very good as well - genuine mildly challenging hike around the region, roads and hills alike. Great guide. However, communications was terrible with the front desk/reception folks - pre-booked activities was easily done via the hotel Agoda contact, but when we had to make changes, reception completely messed up: sessions not cancelled or booked. Was given the response of 'yes yes' which was mere lip service; upsetting as we planned days around hotel activities some of which never materialised. Saw another guest encounter the same when we were checking out. Not sure if we would go back or highly recommend this.

Our stay at the Pavana

Food, staffs and accomodations
This is a great resort for people looking for a relax vacation, those looking for some nightlife action need to go else where. Foods are great, the staffs are really friendly, the rooms are nice and clean. The only problem we have found was at the Bamboo spa where we think that it was a bit overpriced. there are hidden taxes and service charges that they "failed" to advise you upfront which would drove up the total costs of the services at the spa quite a bit.

Avoid male staff at the restaurant

Good villa, fast internet, good activities
Good villa with lots of room and fast internet. Very clean however 2 out 3 toilets in the house were not functioning probably and were constantly wasting water (constant flushing). We had to take off the tops and play around with the flusher each time we used it. you don't expect doing your own plumbing! There was a big kitchen but no plate, no pot or pan or anything apart from wine glasses and cups. There was not even a corkscrew! We asked for one but they would not lend us any which I thought was strange. What shocked us was the at restaurant. We went there on the first night and never went back because the so-called manager who could not speak a word of English accused us of eating a dish he never brought to the table. After that we only ordered room service and each time (about 5x) they forgot something or made an error which seems very strange for such a nice place. The female staff at the complex were helpful and nice and speak very good English but some of the male staff we had to deal with were uneducated peasants looking for an argument.

Pleasant surrounding, dismal bathrooms

the grounds, the peace and the pool
unventful - we checked in late and did not have a breakfast. Bathroom was very basic, rooms appeared to be superficially refreshed by the new owners. Nothing to complain about and we liked to be away from the city.

2 weeks stay in Mae Ann and the Pavana

Location, Gardens, Swimming pool
We stayed at this hotel because we were visiting family who live on the same village rather than the hotel facilities, however the apartment we had was very clean, spacious and the air conditioning was very good, which is absolutely essential. The gardens and pool are really lovely, and I did have a spa day which was excellent.

Detox trip that did not involve detox

location (only if you prefer quiet surrounding) , healthy food, friendly attitude from staff
It was a pleasant stay. People are nice and food is healthy. Meditation session is something very unique. One point is that, the actual activities are far more than the list in the website. Website may need to be updated.
