About The Phoenix Hotel Yogyakarta

The Phoenix Hotel Yogyakarta is housed in a colonial landmark dating back to the early 1900s. In the heart of Yogyakarta, the hotel is close to Malioboro - the two kilometer long stretch of shops and stalls. The city is home to several heritage landmarks, such as the Sultan's Palace, Kotabaru, and Kotagede to name a few. Guests can also enjoy many sporting activities near the hotel, such as horse riding and golf. This really is a superb accommodation choice in Indonesia. Relax by the pool during the day or let the concierge help you plan a range of activities. The historical Phoenix Hotel is perfect to experience a little bit of the past while you are visiting Yogyakarta.

Lovely old building
A very comfortable room in a lovely old building which has been restored with style. Staff were friendly and very helpful, including help crossing the busy road. Good location with local cafes close by. Breakfast was a real spread of various cuisines.

Javanese ambience
I stayed two nights in the hotel. The staffs were so helpful and provided warm welcome with Jogja dessert and the herbal drink. Hotel is furnished and decorated in Javanese style in combination with colonial building. The museum room is beautiful. Also, the view lof swimming pool surrounded by the hotel building is so amazing both day and night. I took a lot of photos. The breakfast time is also suggested. There are two Javanese musician playing gamelane during the breakfast. The food are comprosed of both weatern and Javanese. You can have traditional foods here. The hotel is worth staying particularly for the tourists. If you come to Yogyakarta for the first time. This heritage is highly recommended

Hotel with character
This old hotel looks still very good. Cozy room and clean. We stay a front of hotel above the mainstreet but we didn't use the earplugs. The breakfast was so very much with a lot of liocal items like javacoffee, local drink and sota ayam soup as well. On fridayevening there is the biggest buffet with local food we ever had. We will thank the friendly staff for the good serviices. Try the spa because it is a gem

Nice hotel
Our stay in pheonix hotel was awesome. Beautiful hotel. But during the stay we got in trouble with the electricity. One time it went on and off and we couldn't do anything about it
