Excellence at Richmond Hill Hotel

Location was amazing. Fantastic facilities. Manager and staff were brilliant.

I booked this hotel for my brother and his wife. We sadly lost our Dad and he was in town for the funeral. The Manager and staff made their stay extremely comfortable and they showed great kindness and went to great lengths to make them happy. In fact they stayed an extra day because it was so welcoming! The food was fantastic on all occasions but especially the breakfast, when everything one could imagine was on the menu. The location is the best in town, just off the centre of Richmond but still the peace of a country hotel. We would ALL recommend Richmond Hill, I personally will use them again for any of my family and friends and my brother will definitely be back! (I also booked my other sister in law and my nephew in the next night with the same perfect results) So Thankyou very much Richmond Hill!!

Small room - Tiny Bath/Shower

The location was good with plenty of parking front and rear. The desk staff were friendly but the cleaning staff were gruff. The room had not been vacuumed prior to our stay with bits on the carpet.

We were on the fourth floor which was quiet until the Friday night when there must have been a party or event in the hotel. we didn't hear the party but we did get woken by people returning to their rooms until 1:30ish. Bed was very big and comfortable. The air conditioning was quiet and effective and was needed as the hotel is in the flight path of Heathrow (although the planes are quite high they are still climbing) so those who like the windows open might think twice. Its a bit of a rabbit warren upstairs and the lift is VERY small. The bar area lacked any atmosphere (although this didn't affect us as we were out almost every evening) and smelled quite strange at times. All in all a little above average.

Nice hotel on the hill

Large rooms, surrounding parklands, comfortable bed
8.3
Overall my experience here was pretty good. Location was about 15 minute walk to main shopping area and Richmond station. The only pain was walking back from the shops up the hill. Situated at the top of Richmond Hill, the park next to Nightingale Lane boasts fantastic views of the river. The room itself was nice. Our room was on the 4th floor with a large bathroom and king bed. We also had a single bed in the room which made it a bit crammed with our luggage. The ceiling was very low and the bedroom floor was on a considerable slant which took a bit to get use to. The free wifi is woeful and sometime not even useable. They limit the speed and charge a hefty amount more if you want faster speeds. I would have paid extra for quicker speeds but not at their rate. The staff here are great. They are very helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed exploring Richmond. There is plenty to see and many nice cafes and restaurants.

Pleasant stay. Quick check-in/out. Easy access.

Beautiful view of River Thames from on top of the hill. Close to a lot of restaurants, cafes, pubs and public transports (bus & trains). Walking distance to parks.

After a quick check in, we found our room is up to standard, clean, not too spacious but OK. It was sunny and warm, we had our window opened even at night. The second day, there was no hot shower in the morning (around 9am), we had to use the bath. Weird.

A place where you can go to relax

Privacy respected, good attentive service and a fab leisure centre
8.3
What can I say about the hotel that hasn't been said by everyone before me? Probably nothing as all of it's good features are done very well. We were looking to use the hotel as a base and because of this we found the staff willing to let us do our own thing. We were not pestered to do this and that but at the same time we knew they were there when we needed them. The leisure centre was fantastic and that alone made the cost of the trip worthwhile.
