Something a little special

The Condition was excellent and the quality to match but most of all it has been kept as the original era which makes you feel extra special
No words can describe it was fantastic I would stay again but only as a treat as is a little expensive but as they say you get what you pay for

breakfast and maintenance/door staff
Its okay, but for the price, you can get better. Staff repeatedly got our name wrong, which is very poor, our room was so gloomy with little natural light. There was a maintenance issue, which was eventually sorted, but not until we had rang down twice. We were glad to leave.

Meh, Not as posh inside the rooms

Lobby, dining areas, location
First off, Ritz hotel wrote my name down as Mr instead of Miss. They kept addressing my boyfriend as Mr. Zhao assuming he is the one paying and ignored me, even though it was stated when I booked the hotel that I was MISS. The room inside wasn't luxuriously decorated as was in the pictures. Everything is extremely old, the two sinks makes a loud screeching sound when the tap is turned on and also we could hear the next doors pipes running through the walls. The bathroom door was also jammed and needed a good push to actually close. Disappointed as the Ritz in other countries I have stayed at had much better rooms for the price.

English Decadence, an amazing experience!

Our breakfast at the restaurant were superb. The service throughout every area of the Ritz were excellent. Beautifully decorated Christmas trees! A feeling of magic in the air!
This was a special trip for my husband and I as we did the theatre, dinner and decided to spoil ourselves by booking into the Ritz! It is also a trip without the kids. My only unfortunate incident was we were given a room next to the service stairs. Hence I was woken up by staff running up and down the stairs and slamming the door as they go about their duties. Therefore, I woke up the next day feeling exhausted from the disturbed sleep. When I mentioned this to concierge, and I was also enquiring about coffee in the room, he immediately apologise and sent up a complimentary tray of beautifully laid out coffee for two. We were impressed with this service and the night manager also rang to apologise and offered to extend our check out by 2 hours later so I could have more rest. This is what I called 'good service' ! We definitely will stay there again. Thank you Ritz!
