Great location with large rooms

Near Bukit Bintang Shopping & dining areas

The hotel is 5 minutes walk to Pavillion. Lots of shops and eateries are nearby. The hotel rooms are spacious and toilets are huge and clean. ONe of the best hotels in the Bukit Bintang area.

Best lobby in town.

Lobby area has magnificent decor and surroundings for guest's to relax in . Bussiness centre available at no charge.

Our favourite hotel in KL

Great service, excellent breakfast, large rooms.

we love the royale chulan. this is our second stay here and will be our hotel of choice unless it changes. the hotel is a little out of the shopping area however taxi's are waiting at the entrance and are very cheap. you can also walk if you can handle the heat to butik bingtang. great place!
Restaurant Tip: Tokyo Street at The Pavillion Shopping Centre is a great place for Japanese food with a nice lively environment despite being in a shopping centre.

Fantastic hotel

Fantastic service, room, breakfast and pool.

We came early and our room was not ready. They offered us an upgrade of room directly without extra charge. Nice view of pool area and the Twin Towers, with balcony. Very clean room with all kind of utilities. Breakfast was exceptionally good with a lot of food from all corners of the world. Very good quality of all food we tried. The best hotel ever we have stayed in! (one of us has travelled quite much in business during many years in US and Europe). The pool was nice and big and the water was very clean. The hotel is situated close to the very big Pavillon shopping center with more than 100 restaurants and cafees. Approx 10 min walk to Pavillon. To Twin Tower approx 15 min shortest way from Pavillon mostly in air conditioned walkways above the steets. The hotel has also free shuttle car three times a day to Pavillon and Twin Tower.

we had a great stay! the staff was very friendly and helpful. we even ordered room service breakfast 10 min. late, but there was no problem (thanks, it made our day!) it is within walking distance of the petronas towers (but cut through the art/culture center). we also walked to little india and chinatown, which took about 45 min. lots of hotels with clubs around and lots of shopping.

Royale Club great value

Excellent front of house staff. Royal club perks are well worth the extra price. 4 items laundered free daily can save $20 a day. Afternoon tea and happy hour canapes are very good.

great location. sufficiently distant from the bustle that greets you outside the door of hotels on the main strip (millenium, ritz carlton etc). immediate environment is green and suburban. classy pagoda type design. decent breakfast; comfortable rooms; good leisure facilities. the sap and the pool can get over run. bedroom corridors need refurbishment but rooms themselves are very good. try to get a room with pool/ towers view and balcony. there are rooms that face away from the hotel. take the lift to level p (penthouse) and marvel at the 360 view of the city. best evening shot of the towers in town. avoid the bar. it is expensive, smokey, has two very poor bands and attracts several undesirables.
Nightlife Tip: Take the bag snatch warnings seriously

Five star everything!

Breakfast

really lovely hotel, with very friendly and accommodating staff. malayan charm throughout. rooms are very nicely finished and outdoor pool is large with plenty of space and privacy. breakfast is first rate - with very high quality and variety. location is good - looks out onto the petronas towers and is about a ten minute walk to the main shopping complex area. plan to stay here again on our return to the city!
Hotel Feature Tip: Make the most of the brilliant breakfast!! Go back for seconds!

Good rooms, good location, mediocre breakfast.

Big & Clean rooms & bathroom, 5mins walk to Pavilion Shopping Mall through short-cut.

Booked Deluxe room+breakfast .Parking free of charge for guests. Bring parking token(plastic coin) to the reception. We checked in 10+pm & were given an upgraded room(no.902), Executive Club room,if I heard correctly.Room was in the left tall building, balcony faced the opposite tall Royale Chulan building(right). Left view from balcony was the swimming pool & the right view was the Petronas Twin Tower(KLCC).Quite similar to Deluxe Room but has the balcony & a much bigger bathroom. We asked & were given a 2pm check out. King Bed has hard base with a soft top, something like a good quality spinal bed that wont make your shoulder ache if u sleep sideways. 4 big & plushy Pillows, densely packed feather pillow,I think. Room & bathroom were nice & clean. Duvet & aircon was a bit too warm.We prefer to have a stronger aircon, esp after coming back from shopping in KL weather. It felt like 25degree celcius even though we set it to 18. Bathroom was very big with refreshing smell toiletries(even has loofah and bath salt). overall good except for the water drainage system for the toilet room where after using the bidet, water drainage was too slow and water flows out onto the bathroom floor.Very disappointed with the Buffet Breakfast. Big variety but not tasty. egg counter, NOT warm&crunchy waffle&pancake, 3juices, soyabean milk, tea, coffee from pot & coffee machine, sushi(plenty of flying man-chee), yogurt, salad bar(small), cheese(cheddar&emmentel),dried fruits,hazelnut&walnut,+-10types of bakery(i tried 4,all tasted cheap, not good quality),tasty honey,6-8types of cereal with room temperature milk(not chilled),nasi lemak(not great for me,a Malaysian),Indian counter,2chinese Bao&1cheungfun, 2porridge, noodle counter, hot dishes include asparagus, fried rice, tomyam fried beehoon, sausage, potato, longbeans, bakedbeans. The only tasty food for me was the honey, and the cream from the pancake counter. NOT professional dining staff.Only the plate-clearing ladies were good.
Restaurant Tip: If you want to try local food other than the touristy Jalan Alor, head to the nearby hawker stalls at Jalan Imbi, an open car park area next to OUB Bank/car showroom. Starts from the evening till midnight. It has much less variety than Jalan Alor but it not touristy. There is a famous Hokkien Mee(pronounced as Fook-Kin-Min in Cantonese) stall frequented by locals at the coffee shop next to this car park area.
