Indeed a 5 Star hotel

Quality of accommodation was first rate. 20 minute walk to Petronus Towers

This was a fantastic hotel. We were upgraded on arrival without asking to a room on the 7th floor with a balcony overlooking the pool with a view of the Petronus Towers. The staff were attentive and nothing appeared too much trouble. The pool was a welcome relief from the heat of Kuala Lumpur after a days sightseeing.

as usual staff were great on all areas of the hotel.great varieties of food in warisan cafe for breakfast.also ample oppurtunities to try out some excellent cuisine in a no of restuarants located in the hotel.location is ideal to the pavillion (about 7 mins the back way)or taking a slightly longer route to both the pavillion and klcc and under cover after a short walk past prince hotel.rooms were large and well maintained.

Acceptable hotel in a prime location

Within easy walking distance of restaurants and shops
7.7
The location of the hotel was excellent. If you wanted you could easily walk to shops, bars, coffee shops, and a wide range of restaurants. While taxis were cheap it was nice to be independant if that is what suits you. Generally the hotel was well presented and the staff welcoming and friendly. The use of plastics used in the room furniture, sofas and chairs, was not ideal however. In hot weather the plastic would stick to your skin and was uncomfortable to relax on.
Hotel Feature Tip: Close to air conditioned walkways that connect the most popular areas.

Everything within five minutes walk

Good discount price, fabulous rooms and central yet quiet location

Thought this hotel was exceptional from various aspects. Firstly, very convenient for walking to KLCC, the Pavilion, and old China Town. The quality and cleanliness of the hotel is the best in KL , and we've stayed in several. They are very welcoming and try their best to help. Some have balconies, kitchens and lounges. Has a good cigar lounge with large bar area and nice pool. Quite location despite being in the centre of town. One thing is that they are ill prepared for Chinese clients, as nobody spoke Chinese and the breakfast didn't cater for Asian tastes. That said, this 5 star is the best so far and would heartily recommend it at RM300 to RM350.

very nice modern hotel with a good reception and attentio to detail. Cannot say much against this hotel other than if you wanted to eat outside of the hotel local resturant facilities were hard to find.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Petronis Towers within walking distance

An all around great hotel. I guess you need me to fill in more space but to do so will only be repetitive. An all around great hotel. Hotel Feature Tip: all places are "out of they way." Taxis in front are far more costly than a taxi on the street

Great Hotel. Super Value. Attentive Staff.

Royal Chulan Suite, Cheerful and Professional Staff and Scrumptious Breakfasts.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Royal Chulan which had been recommended by a work colleague who stays there regularly. We had booked a Deluxe with Breakfast and was initially provided with a room for smokers. We asked for non-smoking and were upgraded to a suite. The extra space, separate living area, kitchenette and large balcony to sit out on at the end of a day of sightseeing was fabulous and I'd happily book this style accommodation in future at the Royal Chulan and recommend it to others. Porters, Reception and Dining area staff were polite, cheerful and helpful. The hotel was immaculately clean. A good 15+ minute walk to KLCC Park and Suria Shopping Centre that includes Petronas Towers, 10 minute walk to the large Pavillion shopping complex. There's a short cut out the back of the hotel to get to Bintang Rd and Pavillion maybe a bit quicker. The only negative is that its a good 10+ min walk to the nearest light train and mono rail. I'd rate this hotel as probably one of the cleanest and best value hotels I've stayed in throughout Asia and probably anywhere else for that matter.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: 'Go KL' is the free KL bus doing laps of the CBD including stops near some of the main tourist attractions. The buses are fairly new and they have two routes. One purple and one green. The buses come along every 5 minutes or so during peak hour and every 15 minutes off peak. The only problem is that the bus stops are not always that well signposted, but if you are a little adventurous and don't mind asking for help along the way it isn't too much of a problem. Pick up a leaflet at the Tourist Info Centre or some hotels/shopping centres for the routes. Maybe you can find it online. You also just HAVE to take a trip to Petronas Towers which goes to the skybridge first for 10 minutes (about half way up) and also then on to the 86th level (near the top). The view is tremendous. Its really worth the expense - about 80 MR(and half price for seniors aged 55+). Menara Towers was very 'tired' in comparison. Also a trip to Batu Caves (free entry) would have been quite lack lustre if we had not also taken a guided walk of the Dark Cave. Can't recall the cost of the Dark Cave entry fee (maybe 30 MR) but it wasn't very expensive. The guide's enthusiasm for conservation, knowledge about the caves and creatures made all the difference for us. Easy to get to. Take a bus, monorail or LRT to KL Sentral and from there take the Komuter Train right to Batu Caves. Newish carriages. The train station is right outside the Batu Caves entrance. The return fare was no more than a few dollars and quite easy to negotiate. Easier still when the next leg of the monorail is complete that I believe will take you straight into KL Sentral. At the moment a number of the transport options aren't fully integrated and sometimes you need to get off one mode of transport and find your way to the next mode that is close but not always intuitive.
