Tastefully renovated rooms
The whole Scarlet Hotel premises, comprising a string of shop houses, has been very tastefully renovated, decorated and furnished to provide a luxurious feel within a homely setting. Of course the location is excellent foe access to the cafes, restaurants and pubs of the Chinatown area and within a reasonable walk of Tanjong Pagar MRT station if one is using tje public transport system. The staff were very friendly and helpful. .

Stay at TSSH
Even though the windows and doors are closed, we are still able to hear noises from the neighbouring rooms as well as the corridor clearly. Room is smaller than expected but its still alright. The staffs are very friendly and the facilities are fantastic.

Disappointing staff service
We were welcomed by receptionists and bell boy who didn't bother to look us in the eyes or made the effort to smile. The receptionist, Li Yen, was rude and hostile over the counter.

Tiny rooms but pretty.
I ended up staying at a few hotels in Singapore. And the Scarlett is pretty, but the bed was uncomfortable, and terribly small room. My brain just couldn't process it being worth what it cost after staying in a few equally nice and bigger for half the price.
