A Great Stay
Enjoy your stay in Shanghai at the Seagull. The front staff was busy and a little less than friendly but the concierge was great. He was able to inform us of train ticket options, and then offered to make reservations and pick them up. I was at a loss at how I could properly tip him for his wonderful help. Most hotel guests are Chinese - as they know a good deal, but proximity to the metro (about 15min could pose a problem with luggage). Reservations got mixed up thru Agoda offering a deluxe suite that ended up NOT having a river view - so we opted to receive a cheaper room that provided the view - And A Great View! Attempting to log in to my email acct. was troublesome from China -and required a backup, giving my Google acct. which is banned in China. Thus I was shut out. So make sure any copies needed are hard-copy.

Surprise great hotel
the location is actually quite a walking distance from metro station (Nanjing East station), around 20 minutes walk. However, my friends and I really excited when we saw the hotel is just opposite the Pearl Oriental Tower. It's the good point for us to enjoy the day view and night view at there. Facilities of the room are completed and for sure this hotel will be my first choice for my next Shanghai trip.

Two nights in Shanghai Seagull on the Bund
The proximity of the attraction points, shopping area and the Cheng Huang temple street very near. Would recommend future guests to stay in the room with window. As the night view will be able to witness the the bund and the Oriental pearl tower. The bed is very old and can feel the springs, wasn't provided with breakfast. The interior of the room is quite old. Surrounding area for breakfast is very limited. Nearby there is 24/7 convenience shop.

What a find!
Location, location, location
There is not a better located hotel in Shanghai. Executive river facing rooms well worth the extra $. Helpful friendly staff. Great restaurants and bars.

Good location and fantastic View
Location, fantastic river view
The hotel is quite old but its location was quite good because it is located in near Bund and riverside. Staffs are kind but I am not satisfied with breakfast. Since room was river view and its view was fantastic.
