Ancient Thai houses have been reassembled on the river’s edge as intimate restaurants. Behind them, the enormous property opens up via wide pathways and stairs. You walk past luxury villas with their own private courtyards and bathing pools through to the main inner covered court. Here, three tiers of beautifully appointed rooms rise up around a huge reflecting pool with enormous banana trees. There is a massive Moroccan-style, sunken courtyard surrounded by a spa and treatment rooms of princely portions. Scale, in fact, is the theme here, as it is in most Bensley-designed hotels. The public area takes up far more space than the residential with only 39 rooms in this entire property. All the various buildings are studded with antique details that have been incorporated into the design. Ancient doors, pillars, window-frames, screens, door-handles, and so on are all functional parts of the design, as are one-of-a-kind pieces of furniture, sculptures, and extremely rare free-standing pieces just there to blow your mind. If you’re looking for Asian-inspired hospitality, look no further than The Siam Hotel.

Stylish comfort in an urban oasis

pampering service, friendly smart gm, design of hotel with relaxed sophistication
As someone who has stayed in a number of 5 stat hotels in the US, UK and Italy but a first time visitor to Asia, I was struck by the high level of the service and attention to detail, not to mention the friendly open atmosphere and the kind and gracious manners of everyone we met that worked in The Siam Hotel. I would welcome the chance to return and will enjoy fond memories of our all too short weekend stay. Thank you Mr. Jason Friedman and Jil, our wonderful butler and all of The Siam Hotel family.

Food, staff
Was average in my opinion considering the cost. I think at what Siam charges you should be "wowed" I've received the same level of service and amenities at a 4 star - I would say the food was exceptional.

Best Art Deco hotel in BKK

It is total experience staying at The Siam; just love the overall feel and touch of this place: Art Deco architecture, Beautiful display of owner's collections, very romantic rooms.
Outstanding - i stayed at the Siam for few times; engjoyed it tremendously. It is a very charming place wtih a huge & comfortable suite and villas. Although the suite is bit dark, it is very romantic and luxurious. If you like Art Deco architecture and design, you would love this place! The owner's collections on furniture, artifacts, photos, maps, etc make this "mansion" like a museum featuring modern Thailand, from Rama I to current King. The bulter is very friendly and attentive; they really take good care of the guests. The restaurant, by the river, is charming and well-run; its food(Thai and Western) is wonderful and tasty; wine is bit pricy, however. Breakfast is great, you can order and eat as much as you like! Gym is equipped with basic Life Fitness machines, it is sufficient but not fancy. Highly recommended!!
