The worst ever dining experience I have had - terrible food and terrible service. 4 of us were dining. 2 starters were brought out those were finished & taken away well before the other 2 starters came out. The lamb main was inedible and so was the steak which was over £25 - the rooms were very dated but the pool was good.

Room too hot (no AC), noisy hotel, didn't sleep

Nice large room, comfortable bed, good location
No AC in room, we opened the windows but there was no air. As room was near to main reception, too noisy to have windows open anyway. Noise throughout the night with people arriving back to their rooms after a night out, resulting in the worst night's sleep I've had in a long time. Room did not appear to be sound proofed as any noise echoed throughout the building. Disappointing.

Good base for business stays

Room size, walking distance to work, efficient check-in/out
I work in Solihull during the week so this hotel is perfectly situated for me. Nice, central location and easy to get around town. They did forget to replenish the tea supplies on my last day, but it's only a small thing. I would recommend this place and stay there again.
