Wish gym was better

Breakfast, Bed, some Staff
Gym lockers were hard to use because regular members were eating, takes lots of spaces and very uncomfortable.

Understated excellence

service. deco. quiet.
Everyone is helpful and friendly throughout the hotel and during the whole time. Decoration maybe a tad old but is of such high quality and good taste that lets us enjoy the fine details at our own slower pace. The hotel is nicely tugged inside its own space away from main road it's like a paradise in middle of the busy city. In the hotel you rarely run into tour groups that are in a rush to places. It remains our favorite hotel in Bangkok. If there is one thing to pick on: it is sometimes difficult to get thru the phone to service staff. On one occasion I had to walk to the front desk to simply ask a question. Perhaps a staffing issue?

Room spelt musty

Landscape, conceive, staff
It was a bit disappointing as expected the room.to smell nice.. Coffee capsules and milk not replaced daily.. The water smelt dirty when turned on the shower Bed was nice and TV was good too I have had extra attention at other hotels with better personal service Won't be staying in a large hotel again The last night I stayed there was a huge party with annoying Chinese screaming till past midnight drunk noisy party goers in the bar down stars We could hear it from our room through the glass 3 floors up I complained and they said that they would do there best to stop the noise.. Lol didn't work I was hit with a wifi charge too as they charge for wifi which is ridiculous And only stayed 4 days

the sad end of an era

service / hotel itself / a getaway
this is truly one of my favorite hotels in the world. although the location is a little off, when you get there, there is a sense of serenity that is unique for a big hotel. it is a lovely getaway from the craziness of big city bangkok. sad to hear that they plan to demolish (or rather destroy) the lovely pool and tennis courts. instead they are going for the tacky big resort formula of putting the swimming pool in the courtyard and build a huge megabig building to house more rooms and a function hall. Sad, it would be a loss to its character and style. Definitely not booking a return visit if this occurs

Great Hotel!

People, Bathroom/bed, Food
The staff was incredible. They were professional, helpful and super friendly. I loved it there. The location is a little bit out of the way but the taxis are fairly cheap so it wasn't a problem for me. I didn't want to leave! Would definitely stay again!

Staff, Room, Rate
Peace, beauty, elegance, tranquility. First class facilities and service all the way. Can't think of the slightest complaint. Ok, one minuscule first world problem. My iPhone 6 didn't fit into the jack for the in-room sound system. No adapter was available. Poor me. They had an extensive music channel, and I survived. Dying to go back. Fantasizing about selling everything I own and living there.
