Awesome experience and very nice chalets

view to sigiriya rock, location, peace
As a nature lover it was a great experience to stay right in the center of a jungle. If I am visiting Sigiriya Again, i will definitely book this hotel again. !

In the jungle

Jungle, tree house and food
Really nice place, isolated in the jungle but at 20-30 minutes by foot (really nice walk on a path through the Jungle) far away from Lion's rock. Traditional food for dinner (Curry rice) and breakfast (hopper). The view from the tree house is amazing. The only weakness would be the decoration and the bath room, but everything was clean, with big towels available. We recommand.

the thick forest

the owner set prices way to high. which is outrageous. it's a funny experience and the staff is wonderfull. can take you for a very inspiring walk around his village. and they cook very sri lanka food. but it's too expensive. the cottage is fine. but for this price you should expect sheets without holes and a mosquito net which is not realy dirty and full of holes.

Dirty room but fabulous jungle setting

Waking to birds singing, tree house in the leaves, cool enough at night
The stairs to our treehouse were very rickety, the room was dirty (gecko droppings), no wastebasket, and really super basic. Our room was also right by the trash area. But it was cool enough at night and there were astonishing bird songs in the morning. An elephant had come nearby during the night. The food was OK but not spicy, watered down for tourists. Hosts very friendly.

Tree house heaven

Great location, exciting treehouse setup, friendly bunch
Great. Like a lot of places in Sri Lanka it is overpriced, but it's a cool tree house place, the location is great (all the rooms have a view of some big rock thing nearby), and the staff were very friendly (say hi to Sunil). Take the short cut walk to the rock (the anticlockwise route) and if you're lucky like we were you will see some amazing birdlife.

Real Cabin Tree with views to Sigiriya Rock

Cabin Trees in the middle of the jungle; you could spot Sigiriya Rock from the Cabin Tree.
Great, you get there at night and tasted Sri Lankan food. The tree cabins are real, with no AC but hot/cold water.

Basic accommodation good location

location to attractions, quiet, isolated
We booked two tree houses and were travelling with our two children (14 and 10 years). Tree house rooms basic and nothing for children to do on site. The novelty of sleeping in a tree house wore off quickly. This accommodation is probably better suited for couples, singles, as there is a nice area to sit and chat, drink wine and enjoy the quiet bush setting and Lion Rock . There are defined tracks to houses but is a track in the shrubbery no lighting. Bring head torches for better vision. Fan did stopped working after ten minutes but we had a lovely breeze which kept the temperature down and rocked the tree house gently. Bring books, cards etc if you need entertainment at night. There was driver accommodation and meals if you are travelling with a hire car. Our host, Nadala, was friendly, helpful and cooked a lovely dinner and breakfast. You need to pay extra for water and if not at meal times pay for coffee. Excellent location to Lion Rock and Minneriya National Park which were both wonderful experiences.
