Check in was efficient and reception was kind to suggest express checkout to avoid long queue. Big spacious room with a generous living area.
Restaurant Tip: Famous Lord Stow portugese egg tart is a must try

So Big, So Unnecessary.

Great Room, very big, Warm Pool
8.7
the venican in macau is very big. long hallways that go almost to a pinpoint in the distance. it takes literally 15 minutes to walk to the pool - that's how far away it is. the room is very big and has two levels. but ultimately it's totally unnecessary. we never went over into the "office" side of the room. our goal in macau is not to spend all day in a room! if you were staying in macau for a week, i could see how having the extra space would be nice. but at over usd/night that would be an expensive stay. i hope you win a lot at the casinos. very clean. very nice. very expensive. consider if you really want to spend the money for it. for us, we would have been just as happy in a cheaper and less fancy place.
Restaurant Tip: I always go to a little place called Dom Gallo's near the MGM grand, and near "MP3". It's very small and quaint and has good food at good prices. Macanise food is always good.

Busy hotel, friendly staff but decor dated

Location - you never need to leave the hotel

The Venetian is huge. There for only one night and never really found our way around. The casino of course is the main draw, and the rooms are typically large and well furnished, although looking a little dated now. Staff were friendly if officious, and there are loads of choices when it comes to food and wine. There is one heated pool, so even in the winter you can get outside and take some exercise. There's also an 18 hole putting golf course which is good fun once you find your way around. Better value for money than closer hotels if you don't mind the early 2000's gold decor.

Beautiful hotel that is overly priced.

Hotel staffs that are the international hires are the more friendly ones, the local ones use NO ENGLISH as an excuse to assist you.

For an impressive and beautiful hotel as the Venetian, I hope that they take the time to train their staffs on customer service with a smile. It seems like the international hires were the friendly and accommodating ones there. The local hires were just the opposite as if they don't wish to be there.
Restaurant Tip: The Portofino and Cafe DeCo with variety of delicious food and with staffs that are very accommodating and friendly. I don't recommend that the Dim Sum restaurant right across Cafe DeCo. Floor staff were unfriendly and failed with customer service, if we weren't so tired and hungry, we wouldn't have bother staying.

For the price you paid, this hotel delivers

fantastic rooms, great concierge staff, very apologetic front desk
8.7
rooms - 9/10. the only flaw is the toilet has not much ventilation for the urinal. but great space for the bedroom and living room area. hotel - 8.5/10. need to show more shortcuts to get into the rooms without going through the casino. be careful of the random spits on the casino floor experience - 8.5/10. concierge and front desk staff are very good. breakfast room service is always prompt. room was not topped up with complimentary drinks on the 2nd day but was given later in the evening instead. hotel keeps promoting 3 monkeys which has closed down for a few years already.
Restaurant Tip: there is no more 3 monkeys in the hotel. so, the only halal place is Indian Garden which is around 5 mins by taxi.

Spectacular Hotel and facilities

The Venetian is an amazing complex with excellent fitout
9.7
It is stunning from walking into the lobby (people go just to look) however it's a huge hotel / casino complex and can be very confusing. It is intentionally designed so once you go in it's almost impossible to leave however, if you can afford it, everything is available inside.

Huge hotel that smells like an ashtray.

Beautiful rooms with great view, gambler's paradise, lots of shopping and food choices
7.3
The hotel is giant and the casino floor is equally huge. My nonsmoking room smelled like an ashtray as did the rest of the hotel. It gets crazy busy on the weekend and if you walk around the 3rd floor shopping area you'll constantly dodge people posing for photos in the most inappropriate places. Expect to be bumped into and cut in front of pretty much everywhere. There is a lot to do at this hotel though and it is a short walk from the Galaxy Hotel/Casino which is modern and smells like a flower garden.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: The Bodies Exhibit and UFC were the attractions while I was there, they were both entertaining.
